Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Boots for Michigan Winters!! I used to be an avid UGG buyer, but my Uggs keep getting trashed from the salt and snow in Michigan. I ordered these boots for the waterproof bottom and also the stylish gray color. They are perfect for running errands or taking the dog for a walk in the cold weather. I sprayed the suede for protection even though I don't intend on using them in snow that deep. These boots fit true to size, but if you plan on wearing thick socks with them all the time, you may want to order a size up. All together, I love these boots and would recommend them to anyone who typically buys all suede fur boots!! They are warm and won't get ruined from the winter weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These boots are the best thing ever put on this planet. Ever. I've had a pair of these boots for the past 7 years and loved them more than any other shoe on this planet until mom bogarted them, as they were as good as when I first got them. So dreading the winter cold on the way, I just ordered a second pair of these cozy, sturdy amazing shoes. I know that this pair will last me for years to come as I was quite rough on the first pair and they're just as good as new. Plus, I'm stranded on an atoll in the middle of the pacific (I was doing research, now I'm just sitting here waiting for them to fix the plane), and Moosejaw's website has kept me thoroughly entertained whilst I await my departure and fend off the cannibals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use these to shovel snow for 3 winters and they are still being used I wear these to shovel snow during the winter in 10 - 20 temps and my feet have never gotten wet, despite being in snow for hours at a time. What bugs me about the shoe is that I have managed to get salt residue on the rubber and can't seem get the "salt" stain residues out despite several different cleaners on the black rubber area. The leather doesn't stain and still looks pretty new despite getting wet. Shoes are kinda heavy (5 - 7 lbs?) but that's to be expected. Have not slipped on icy snow patches so the traction on the sole is pretty good. These shoes can go for at least 5 more winters so they are a keeper!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the only winter boot you need Ok, so I just moved from San Diego to Minnesota, clearly a footwear upgrade was in order. I bought these because my mom who went to college in Montana back in the day said they were the ultimate and I have to agree. These shoes are super warm, but they aren't gonna set your feet on fire when you walk inside, they are waterproof, and I've taken them on some pretty slippery ice situations and didn't feel like I was gonna slip once. They are not too heavy that you feel like you're lugging bricks around, but they just feel sturdy and good. Plus you they add a lot of street cred to your outfit. Just saying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gotta Love Snow Boots. I was super excited to get these (even more so that I was able to buy them when Moosejaw was having a sale) and I gotta say I really really like them. They are comfy and nice and warm. I had a chance to wear them outside after our first real snow, and they work like a dream. Plus they are super cute! HOWEVER... they are quite clunky/heavy, not for wearing around campus (as I was unlucky enough to discover). But for shoveling snow and doing SHORT walks, they are great! (On the other hand, if you want to get some seriously impressive quads, wear them everyday) In short - I love em.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality has gotten worse. My dad has a pair of Caribous that have been awesome for 15 years. I bought mine 1.5 years ago and they are falling apart. Made in China now. I wear them almost every day in the winter, and the soles have lasted. But the liners have ripped and the rubber part on the top/inner part of both boots have holes (the big toe knuckle area, if that makes sense). Look into other winter boots, because these are great at first but just don't last.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Runs Large [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are nice, well made boots. But the sizing was way off! I tried reading lots of reviews before ordering, to gauge the sizing and decided to order a 6.5 when I normally wear a 7 or 7.5. The boots are still too big (even with thick socks) by probably a half size, so I will be returning. The boot is a bit clunky in general but I don't have an issue with that since they are a very functional, hardworking boot that also manages to be 'cute' :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing boots! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these boots! Got them just in time for Denvers 4th largest snow fall ever. (28'' in Loveland!) and they performed beautifully. Since they are waterproof, they were perfect to play with my dog in the waist high snow. And since they have great tread, I was not slipping on the ice buildup either. They are also pretty cute. Definitely recommend. Heads up: they are little heavy. Not bad, but my ankles were tired after wearing them for a couple of hours. Also sizing tip: get a half size up from your shoe size. I wear an 8.5 and got an 8.5. While they fit great on, they are a little difficult to just slide my foot in or out. I will buy a 9 for my next pair.

1. Place your feet flat on a piece of paper and mark your longest toe and the back of your foot. It's best to do this while standing and wearing the socks you would typically wear with the footwear you are shopping.

2. Measure the length (cm) straight from your longest toe to the back of your foot using a ruler or measuring tape.

3. Use the size guide above to determine your ideal Sorel size.
