The Sterling Rope Fusion Nano IX 9.0mm Dry Rope is a single rope for alpine touring and glacier travel. The skinny rope allows it to be easy carry, thanks to the drop in weight of 52g/m, just making that mountain a touch easier. This dry treated version prevents the rope from soaking up moisture as well as preventing freezing so you can continue with the upward challenge. IX means 9 for those that are Roman numeral challenged. I totally looked it up, no need to be embarrassed.

Product Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Alpine Rope A number of my sport climbing friends use this for their red points, but with its lightweight, dry treatment, and great handling I prefer it for rock objectives in the alpine. Hauling a 10mm to the crag for its durability isn’t a problem. But hauling one up a Northwest Cascade objective is a lot more weight than necessary. Heavier duty than a half rope and lighter than most singles. Happy balance in my opinion. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight Rope Replaced my Mammut Infinity 9.5 rope with this rope. Lightweight and perfect for trad, multi-pitch and alpine objectives. I bought the orange bi-colour and it is highly visible on the wall. I’m very happy with this upgrade. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
