Product Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This rope has a durable sheath. It hasn't fuzzed up after months of intensive use. Good value. My previous rope was a Beal. While the Beal gave soft catches due to its elasticity, the sheath became fuzzy within a few months. Before 2 years, I could see the core and I had chopped both ends three times before the rope was 3 years old. Seeking greater durability I opted for a Sterling Marathon rope because of its excellent durability. I haven't been disappointed as, apart from discoloration, the sheath is as good as new. It's also light enough to use in a double configuration for trad climbs. My next rope will be from the Sterling Marathon series too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't wait to really test this rope. I have only used this rope to teach a few friends how to belay, but I have to say it pulls through both a grigri 2 and an ATC really smoothly. So much nicer than having to pull a stiff rope through. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, reliable rope! This is my first rope, and I've had it for a couple of months now. I did a lot of research when deciding on a rope, and I'm glad that I went with this one. I wanted something that would be reliable, all purpose, and last a while, and I think this rope will. I have used it both indoors and outdoors, and went with the dry treated option as I hope to use it to try out ice climbing this winter. I was worried that with the slightly larger diameter it would be heavy to carry up to the crag, but its not bad. Also, I love the blue color that I went with!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stout I spent some time going back and forth on which rope to choose. My two requirements were quality and durability while maintaining a reasonable weight. Very nice rope, haven't had it outdoors yet but it is no doubt a high quality chord. Buy with confidence! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, Sterling ropes rock. (get it, "rock") Ha I kill me Got this sterling rope after spending many moons reading reviews and blogs for climbing ropes and guess what, most climbers know what they are talking about. I built my own climbing wall with an overhang and this rope performs like a dream. The 10.1 is not to thick but still feels very safe. Clips bolts like butta and goes through my belay like silk. If your looking for a great rope with out selling your first born child this is the one for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Workhorse Rope My buddy's first rope, we've already had it both in the gym and outside in the Northeast, haven't noticed any issues of wear, the stretch on this rope is comfortable and now it'll be travelling with us to all our climbing trips [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this rope I use this as my go-to top rope for myself and small groups of friends on rock and ice. I've even used it for short trad and moderate sport routes. The dry treatment makes the rope run really smoothly and it's only now starting to pick up some grime after a few seasons of moderate use. Really not much wear and tear showing. It hasn't fuzzed out or gotten any soft spots. I'll be using it again this summer for sure. Super reliable and durable.
