Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super comfortable and compact I bought this backpack after my beloved old northface backpack of many years broke. I was expecting the same quality out of this one, and it definitely lives up to my expectations! Super light weight and comfortable, I'm a college student so I carry many things around with me (laptop, books, binders) all over campus and this backpack is great for that. The only downside is that it is smaller than I expected, the backpack gets slightly narrower at the bottom so my things don't all fit in as nice as they did in my old backpack, but maybe that design is what makes it so lightweight. Would buy again and recommend as an everyday use backpack.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Accessories organizer sewn in the wrong way Overall a fabulous quality backpack, but with the new re-design, I think there was a quality control flaw during production. The accessories organizer in the secondary compartment is sewn in so that it faces the interior of the main compartment, not the secondary compartment, like it is shown in the photo. I thought my backpack was a mistake, so I took it into the North Face store to exchange. To my surprise, every women's Jester we went through had the organizer sewn in facing the wrong direction. Salesperson thought it was supposed to be this way until I showed him the stock photo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good choice I use this backpack for traveling, work, and school. It works great! You can tell that its great quality and worth the money! I've used it for a week now. I do wish it had a small pocket at the front. Its easy to pack; I have been able to fit my laptop, 2 makeup bags, chargers, wallet, hairbrush, 1 outfit, planner, food, lotion, water bottles, and a few other items. Its doesn't feel like I'm carrying all of that though. Unlike other backpacks I feel like this backpack doesn't hurt my back or shoulders. I got the blue one and I love the color, but I'll probably purchase the backpack again in black to have it in a neutral color that goes with everything!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's alright I received this backpack for Christmas my freshman year of high school. It lasted throughout the end of my freshman year and well into my sophomore. However, midway through my sophomore year the zipper at the top of the bag became unstitched and loose from its connecting fabric, making the bag unable to fully zip. This is extremely frustrating as I was only able to use the backpack for roughly a year and a half. Despite this, I will be purchasing another Jester backpack heading into my junior year, due to the comfort and versatility of this bag. Hopefully this time the zipper won't break before I graduate.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Organizer pockets are NOT AS SHOWN IN THE PICTURE!!! I loved the look and style of these backpacks. However, when mine came in the mail, the organizer panel was in the main compartment facing the laptop sleeve. So if you are to unzip that part all the way, everything will fall out of the slots. And it is completely backwards from the pictures shown on this website. I called NF and they sent me a new one. The new one was the same way. After doing further internet research, it seems like that is how the Jester is made now. I don't know if it's intentional or a mistake, but either way, it's WRONG! The organizer panel should not be in the main compartment! Suppose you have a bulky jacket or sweatshirt in the main compartment. You yank it out and along comes your pens, flashlight and phone that are stashed in those upright slots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Everything You Need I bought this backpack as I started college and so far it has everything to meet my needs. The large pocket fits multiple textbooks, the small pockets for supplies and organization are super helpful, and there's even a laptop pocket and perfectly sized side pockets for water bottles, etc. My only criticisms would be that I would prefer a little more padding on the laptop pocket, and I would have liked the school supplies pockets to be in the front section instead of the back (but that's just my personal preference). Overall this backpack is more spacious than it looks and comfortable on my shoulders and not really lacking in anything.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy a North Face backpack again and again This backpack is being used by my grandson for school. He is a Senior in high school and he knew he needed a backpack that could hold up to the demands of school and sports. When he got his backpack we were so impressed with the quality of the bag and the room in the backpack that I purchased North Face backpacks for his sister, brother and both cousins. His mom was so impressed I bought her one too. Now the entire family has one for school, work, sports and everyday life. So when I say we would buy this backpack over and over again I meant it! So many styles to choose from that everyone got the perfect backpack for their needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't stop looking at it! I was originally going to get the Pivoter backpack but I kept searching for more options and suggestions and was then swayed to buy this one and I can't stop oogling at it. Love every aspect of it since it's able to hold my laptop, kindle, and my many notebooks. Since I'm an addict for color coding I tend to carry 15+ pens/pencils so I use every compartment for them, that's my only issue. Also great detail is the key clip inside one of the smaller pockets so I don't lose my bike lock keys.

Size Guide

The North Face Men's Packs

SIZE One Size Small / Medium Large / X-Large
Torso Size (Adjustable) N/A" 15 - 20" 17 - 22"
Torso Size (Fixed) 17 - 20" 16 - 19" 18 - 21"
Hipbelt Size 28 - 40" 28 - 34" 35 - 42"

HOW to MEASURE TORSO SIZE
1. Put your chin to your chest and feel for the big bone protruding on your neck at the top of your spine. That's the C7 vertebra.

2. Feel your hip bone, the top part of this is your iliac crest. Find the spot on your back that is level with the top of this crest.

3. Have someone measure the distance between these two points, following the contours of your spine.

HOW to MEASURE HIPBELT SIZE
1. Measure around your body where the hipbelt will rest while you hike. This should be just above your iliac crest.

NOTES
