Rated 4 out of 5 by from stylish and roomy but not enough compartments I use this backpack every day commuting to work carrying my laptop and my gym clothes and shoes and lunch box, there is even enough room for me to roll and place my rain or thin dawn jacket on top of everything. It also looks very stylish, one of the best-looking north face bags so far. However, this backpack doesn't have enough compartments to organize stuff. there are some pockets in front section but not enough. I wish it had an easily accessible pocket on top for keys and wallet. there are two side pockets but they are too deep and I have to dig deep to my find my keys.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gorgeous and tough This is one of the best looking backpacks I've seen or owned. I absolutely love its mix of beauty and braun. I bought the black one partly because I really liked the internal contrasting color (orange/mustard). It's very roomy and has good organizational pockets. If you pack right, this bag can be perfect for a weekend or more. I don't know how I feel about the laptop pocket... you'll either love it or hate it. I wish TNF would make a carbon copy of this bag in a smaller size - it's little brother, the Kaban, is a tad too small and lacks the external pockets I've come to love and depend on in this bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Bag Money Can Buy! I bought this bag for travel and it is the best decision I've ever made. There is so much room and it is very minimal in the main compartment, which is what I was looking for. The front compartment had plenty of space for all your electronics or for my case, souvenirs. I took this bag on a one week trip to Puerto Rico and it was amazing. I was able to fit one weeks worth of clothes, my camera gear, iPad, laptop and misc cables/chargers and I still had room for souvenirs! This bag also fits perfectly under a airplane seat or in the overhead bin so it is perfect for travelers! I would highly recommend this Bag and I might even buy the smaller bags for everyday use!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect backpack for consultants I was looking for an alternative to my small carryon that would allow transporting 2 - 3 days of clothes along with my computer and other essentials. I had this on a test run last week to MD. Packed glasses, noise cancelling headphone in the case, extra set of wireless headsets, multiple sets of cables, MacBook along with charger and extension, 2 days of dress clothes, extra set of casual clothes, and an umbrella. Forgot to put my water bottle in the other compartment. Everything worked out great! I didn't have a need for 2 bags to complete my trip. The back has options to get the right fit for your shoulders which I appreciate as well as better padding than my previous SwissArmy which also helped to prevent wrinkling of my shirt while en route to the office. Definitely recommend for the road warriors out there.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Idea, Poor Execution I was highly excited about this bag- I thought it was literally the perfect bag made from the description and specs. In theory it should be right? Separate padded laptop compartment with shoulder straps, and not waist straps. It allows you to have a big bag for all your stuff throughout the day (like most professionals or students in a major city) without having to feel you're carrying a hiking bag. Love it. The design is sleek and modern but I think this is where it faults. The pull out compartment for your devices is unnecessary. It's not like the pockets are so huge and deep that you wont have trouble simply reaching for it. It creates unnecessary use of fabric that just jumbles up at the bottom and takes up space and actually goes against the idea of being "sleek and modern". The main compartment is a clamshell which is good for traveling, bad for day to day. the bag runs deep but not wide. Meaning you can stack stuff on top of each other vertically, but not horizontally. I don't like this for the day-to-day use in tech. If i were to pack my camera or books, i Would have to stack them on top to make them fit (which is dangerous), or have to open the bag the entire way like luggage. Highly inefficient for a commuter or student who just wants to carry their stuff without having to lay the bag down. for 41L, it also surprising can hold about 3-4 textbooks deep + 3 inches of files or planners. Than you have a good amount of space on top which in theory you could put a camera bag, or clothes. I dont like to put my shoes or outwear (especially if its raining) on top of books so this just seems like wasted space. In order to be efficient, I would encourage adding a separate compartment, nothing special just a separate space separated by fabric OR allow the bag to go wider/expand horizontally so at least, your not packing stuff on your back. Cant fit electronics in third compartment. made for travel- clothes. Not day or for books or students.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality I use this backpack for nearly everything I do. I use it to carry all my materials to class, including my laptop. I also use it for whenever I go on hiking trips and plan to use it when I travel as well. It is very rugged and could definitely take a beating. The only down side is that the support straps seem a little dainty but so far there is no sign of wear. The support straps is what failed on my previous Northface backpack but luckily it was covered under the lifetime warranty. The design of the backpack is very useable and provides great protection for anything your carrying in it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommended The huge compartments take some getting use to. You have to dig for things due to huge compartments. I am use to it now. I found it hard to spend this much on a pack but I'm glad I did. I use this every day for work and personal use. I can fit five days worth of clothes in this. It does have three different smaller pockets inside for calculators pens chargers etc. fits my 13" MacBook Pro with ease. It's an all around good backpack and I love it!
