Rated 5 out of 5 by from The jacket I've been looking for ... for years I bought this jacket a little over a month back. I have been looking for a heavy duty soft shell with a hood for a LONG TIME. A lot of the soft shells I tried were too light, built more like a hoodie, or made that awful 'swoosh swoosh' sound when I moved my arms. This thing is great, its soft, warm, sturdy, stretchy, and it looks darn good! It keeps wind and water out like a champ, too! I usually wear a Medium to Large depending on how the jacket runs. I bought a large so I could layer, and it is a tad looser than I'd like with just a t-shirt under, but the adjustable waist helps. Buy it. Do it now. You know you want to! Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hit & Miss So this jacket would be a great soft-shell for shoulder-season and layering use, except for the membrane. I like the Vision zippers, the elastic cuffs, and the soft, stretchy (polyester though, not nylon) face fabric and the micro fleece laminate inside, but the breathability (or rather lack thereof) makes it seem hot if it's snowing wet, heavy spring snow. I guess it would work alright in freezing rain, but then i'd probably (hopefully) be wearing a hardshell. I'm just not sure an ePTFE membrane - especially one that seems to act as a vapor-barrier, goes along with the whole soft-shell ethos of versatility.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jacket For Cooler Temps Fell in love with TNF’s hoodies recently and so wanted something a little more robust for the cooler months here in SoCal. I love this jacket the fit is great, the stretch of the soft shell material is great. Overall very satisfied. One minor niggle... the draw string cords for the waist go up into the pockets and not only do I hate having those little wiggly things in my pockets, I’m less than impressed with them simply being knotted instead of capped with some more comfortable material. Other than that, a very finely crafted, cool weather jacket. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit Bought this for my son who goes to college in upstate NY and needed an "in-between" jacket. The feature that I was most excited about was the wind proof feature as he is always complaining about the wind going right through his other jackets. Although he hasn't been able to put this to the test yet, I do believe it will live up to its claim. The fit of the jacket is slim which my son loves. It looks really good on him. Some of the other reviews complain that the fabric is almost like a wet suit material and I have to agree. I wasn't sure if my son would like it but he loves it and I'm sure that "wet suit" fabric will be what keeps the wind and rain out. Inside is soft. Overall a very nice jacket. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Hoodie I used to have the Apex Android Hoodie and love it until it was stolen. I used to wear that jacket in spring, fall and winters of VT and that was fine in all of the elements. They stopped making that jacket so I got this instead. So far so good. I wore it in a rain storm an was still dry. I think that with a sweater underneath it will keep me toasty even in the harsh winter elements but breathable in spring. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality jacket It feels well built and incredibly durable. Material is slightly heavy and a little stiff but this well help make it last a lifetime as it seems it was built to do! Really helps cut the wind and the hood is great. It’s a great jacket overall, maybe not for backpacking but more for the city. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The North Face Men’s Apex Rosie Hoodie I purchased the North Face Men’s Apex Hoodie and couldn’t be more pleased. I saved $79.00 from the suggested retail price for truly superior outerwear. I work on a loading dock and food stock freezer in extreme weather conditions and sub freezing conditions the North Face protects me in cold wet weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fits great! Bought this for my son. He loves it!! Fits really well, and works well for most of his outdoor activities in the winter. He wore it out during the recent arctic cold, and he was fine. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
