Dryvent™ fabrics are engineered to be fully waterproof, windproof and breathable. Durable Water Repellent
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vancouver Bomb cyclone Approved Fits snug, drapes well over shoulder, sleeve length is about right, snug under armpit with good articulation. Hood fits snug. Good length. I wear a 38 blazer and bought size small. Performance exceeded my expectations. Wore this jacket during Vancouver's recent bomb cyclone in the rain for a total of over 64hrs and it kept me dry. The material doesn't repel water such as goretex although the liner inside was always dry. It remained light weight as it got soaked (after first 1.5hr) and saw an average 1hr for the jacket to dry on a chair b4 heading back out. On days that weren't raining, material breathed well, and worked ok at keeping wind out. Packs as small as a football.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for commuting on foot The toughest weather I've put it through so far was a 20 minute walk to work with pouring rain, 13mph wind gusts, around 40°f. I was completely dry under the jacket and actually a bit warm since I went up a size to fit a sweater under it. The shell does a great job stopping the elements as no rainwater got through anywhere and the wind was essentially a nonfactor. The length is perfect for protecting anything in pants pockets although I would like a couple more inches to make it knee length rather than mid thigh. The dual zipper can stick a little sometimes at the bottom but for quick trips outside I'll just snap two of the buttons and go. Honestly I'm considering buying another just to have color options. I would recommend trying it on with and without a sweater if you are considering layering. I bumped up a size and am happy with that choice.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Simply Not Waterproof [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wore this in moderate rain and was completely soaked through within 15 minutes. This product is falsely advertised.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Delivers on technology, style and its promises! I use this jacket for rainy commutes into manhattan. It is stylish and functional. The hood is appropriately sized for casual wear (not a climbing helmet). The zipper does not extend to the bottom of the jacket, as in the picture. The sleeves are too long, and requires tailoring. The jacket is breathable and phenomenally windproof. With a sweater layered underneath it is perfect for a cold rainy commute.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I definitely would buy this again I recently took a trip to South Africa and this jacket was excellent. We endured heavy winds in the Capr and a little rain, however this jacket stood strong. It also turnt quite a few heads during our mountain hikes. Love it, perfect coat for any occasion inop.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a great buy. As a slim, 6'1" guy , it can be tough to find gear that's both fashionable and functional. This certainly fit the bill. The length is perfect and it fits reasonably snugly around my torso (I purchased a medium). I wore it on a trip to NYC, but it's great in adverse weather in the outdoors as well. My only complaint is that the zipper closure is a bit finicky when taking the jacket off; otherwise this would be a 5 star purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Rain Jacket [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the most expensive rain jacket I've ever bought and so far I have no complaints. Warmer than cheaper options, breathes decently well for a rain jacket. Packs small and blocks wind pretty well too. Certainly other jackets can pack down smaller, but I still like traveling with it. I haven't worn it enough to test longevity. And I wish there was one more pocket somewhere.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, made for layers Great however is made for layers which does not suit warmer weather, so I need to move down a size however all of them are sold out now. Additionally the jacket is technically not the same as the picture, the real jacket's zipper does not extend all the way down, but rather stops at the second last button.
