The North Face Men's McMurdo Parka is the lengthiest winter jacket in the TNF line-up for wrapping up in the city. Hit the streets during one of those blustery east coast days in the dead of winter and do so with utter confidence and comfort. The 600 fill power down isn't just toasty warm, it keeps weight surprisingly low for a big ol' jacket. The fur trim at the hood isn't just faux, it's also removable if it isn't your preferred style or mood. A relaxed fit for plenty of layers and a whole bunch of pockets for hiding snacks, phone and if you've got one, I bet you could hang onto your ferret.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from FITS BIG, CAME WITH DEFECTS, Terrible customer service. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Jacket fits way too big, came with multiple problems, threading was a mess in multiple spots. The over jacket itself isn't bad, just wish I had a better experience, if my jacket came in 10/10 condition I would have no complaints, and the customer service wasn't the best, stopped replying to me.. you'd think for such a big company the customer service would be great. I recommend the jacket, just order one size smaller than usual. Also you probably will get luckier than I was and not get a defective jacket. Don't even wear it should have returned it, wore it once. Will no longer be giving my business.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Company, Great Product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coat is extremely warm, have gotten multiple compliments wearing it, and i've only had it for a couple weeks. I initially ordered an XL. I found that the coat runs a little big in size. Which in a world where manufacturers are trying to use less and less material, is a breath of fresh air. Returning the coat through the mail was a breeze, and free I might add. Ordered the L, and couldn't be happier. It is a very warm and puffy coat. I live in the Northeast. It might be a little too warm for parts of the US, depending on where you live. Great Company, great to deal with, and great product. They truly make stuff to last.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Jacket, but needs easily reachable chest pockets. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice jacket but needs easily reachable chest pockets on the outside of the jacket. There are two "Alpine" chest pockets but they are difficult to reach, since they require the wearer to crunch their arm close to their shoulder in order to use the pockets. A simple solution would be for the pocket openings to be close and parallel to the center zipper. Then the coat wearer could simply reach across their chest, using their opposite arm (right arm to left pocket and vice a versa), to store away their phone and other objects, that they want to be easily reachable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Perfect Coat! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The perfect coat!! I ordered this coat in XL for my husband who is 6'3", 220 lbs. The arm lengths on many coats are too short on him. This one had the perfect arm length! The coat is warm and feels substantial, but not overly bulky. He said it was the best coat he has ever owned. The first few days after the holidays, we had weather in the single digits. I saw that he wasn't wearing the new coat and asked why. His response was that it was too nice and he didn't want to ruin it. We laughed and I encouraged him to wear the "nice" coat! He is now wearing it daily, keeping warm, and looks super handsome!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Runs Huge [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm 5'8" 190 lbs athletic build, and normally wear a Large for a snug fit and an XL for a relaxed fit. This coat I ordered in Large bc the reviews said it runs big. The Large was so big my wife started laughing when I put it on, it would have fit two of me in the belly area and I wear size 33" waist pants, so I'm not malnourished. I'm hesitant to order a Medium bc then I bet the shoulders will be too tight. I'm giving 3 stars bc the coat would probably be nice if the sizing was in the right zip code of being correct. Needless to say I'm sending it back!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The feathers are going out through the fabric [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has poor poor inner fabric the feathers come throughout the fabric all my clothes have feathers on it, I went to the store for a refund nd since I bought it in October but not used until the cold weather in Minneapolis the manager mentioned that he can only send it for repair but it will take 6 weeks. I will never buy NorthFace again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall great parka but.. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After trying three different cheap coats, I finally felt like I found the right one for extreme cold weathers Positives: -keeps you warm in extreme colds -Lots of pockets both in and out -Fur is cute and cozy Negatives: -Inside zip got stuck once in a while if you dont zip it carefully. Since it is the zip i used the most, that can be a problem for me sometimes. It is very hard to fix the sticked zip. - Bulky, but that is at the expense of being warm so i guess that is fine. Also beware of that american sizes are usually bigger than usual. Overall, It is very good parka at this price! 8/10

Rated 2 out of 5 by from OK coat, missing a key feature The coat is nice looking and could be warm, but for some reason, there is no drawstring at the waist. The coat is overly generous around the torso and cold air gets underneath the jacket. If you put on several layers it's okay, not sure a NorthFace jacket should require extra layers for function.
