GORE-TEX Paclite

GORE-TEX Paclite
GORE-TEX Paclite is the gold standard for lightweight, breathable elemental protection. Paclite jackets are extremely packable and great to have on hand for windy or rainy conditions. They'll keep your torso dry and comfortable.

DWR tech

Durable Water Repellent
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this jacket again, hands down. Downhill skiing in very cold conditions tested the warmth and breath-ability. There's is marked improvement over my two year old North Face ski jacket -which wasn't at all a poor performer. I can't believe this years jacket has this much improvement. It's lighter, very comfortable, great style, good outside pockets, and vents, if needed. The hood is difficult to stow, but has not been a nuisance. The large zippers have improved, and the liner that goes with the jacket is warmer than the previous version, and also very breathable through very long top-to-bottom runs. Keep up the great work!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite winter jacket! I have been using this jacket as a daily choice for the past 2 weeks and i absolutely love the versatility of this jacket. On non-windy or rainy days I just wear the inside down jacket that is extremely soft and keeps me warm. On very windy and days where it's raining hard the gore-Tex outer shell hardly adds any bulk to the inside jacket yet protects me perfectly against the elements. Only con I would have is that the comparable Carto Triclimate that I have, the sleeve cuffs at the end are not elastic. That means if it's windy I have to recede my hands into the sleeves to keep them warm. The elastic wrists on the Carto synthetic jacket snugs around my waist well and I don't have that issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recommend Jacket is very warm, almost uncomfortably warm when worn in the store. Fits true to size and is thin enough to work in, permits activities where movement is important.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Jacket covers all seasons Use the jacket for cold weather, also the inner lining can wear inside and out. Nice to have one jacket that works for many seasons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing jacket for New england weather Bought this for new england cold winters but initially was worried that it might not be enough considered it was so light weight but the jacket serves its purpose and it is totally breathable and gets the cold, rain and water away.Couldn't ask for a better value for money

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the real deal. I got this to replace a mid-90s Mountain Light Jacket - The REAL Deal - which had given up the ghost. This "modern" Mountain Light Jacket is clearly for fashion concerns and the main zipper constantly splits. Had it just a few months. People do NOT rely on this ... thing... at the top of the world, do they? Are these getting repaired or replaced? Mine just failed totally and I cant wear it. What happened to the North Face? I'd like a complete replacement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad I purchased when I did! Glad I bought this item. Lost a good amount of weight and needed a fall/winter jacket. Did some research and found this particular jacket. Very warm and protects you from wind and other elements. Stylish too.
