DWR tech

Durable Water Repellent
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

The North Face FlashDry

The North Face FlashDry
FlashDry enables the user to stay drier and more comfortable in a wide range of weather conditions and environments. It doesn't add weight or bulk and never washes or wears out. FlashDry will accelerate evaporation so you can dry off quicker.

Product Reviews
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the Design, Feel and Function of this Jacket I really like this jacket a lot. It's warm, rain-resistant and it does a good job of cutting the wind. I'm being critical when I say it feels a bit non-breathable. On the other hand, it's really good at blocking the wind. My biggest concern with the item is the weave. It's more of a knit. As such, it may have a tendency to snag. I found a tiny snag in it after I bought it. I don't know if I did it, but I'm certainly going to be more careful with it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A little big and a little thin The jacket is very thin, very light. Did not do well in temps below 50f. The description and other reviews make it sound like a good option for colder weather. It is not. Also I wear a men's large in everything else and this was super baggy on me, while everything else I wear in Large fits me quite well. TNF size chart puts me over the cusp of L but this is a whole size too big. Having said all that, it's a nice looking ultra light jacket and does a decent job blocking wind. But below 50f I was cold, it's just not made for that. A lot thinner than they describe here, so just know that, one brisk fall day was too much for it. I'm returning for a smaller size in a different, heavier jacket like the Denali. Quality is great though, really nice looking/feeling jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Then, warm, snug I'm usually in between a medium and a large, and the medium fits perfect. Not too tight either (I can move my arms fully without feeling it get tight or rip). Surprising warm for how thin this jacket is. Very stylish too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like what I got! It is a lot lighter than I expected, but still not what I was looking for. It's not my NorthFace Flight series apex. Im so sad I can no longer find that jacket. Though light, it was too much to wear with a T-shirt through the rainy NYC streets at 55-60 degrees. I found myself wishing I ya brought the old jacket. Any cooler and it probably would have been perfect. I like the fit better, I miss the external breast zipper pocket.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Thinking twice before buying This Techno is very stylist. I'm 5'5". My use for this jacket is urban adventure. Light travel, coffee house hoping & restaurant hoping. I will be keeping this jacket for it's versatility. Next time I'll make sure to pay attention to the size and see if it would fit me. But buying online is tough with NF. With NF the sleeves can be an extra yard long. Or the sleeves can only fit customers that aren't fit. But overall they do try to make things I like to buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product was a lighter weight than I expected If you are looking for a light weight jacket to work out in, this should be a great one. We returned it because we were looking for something that could be used during colder weather.
