Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! I took this backpack with me so far on two hiking trips. The first was a week long backcountry trip in Canyonlands National Park (UT), and the second a three day trip in the Smokies (TN). Held up great during both hikes. Had more than enough room for all of the things I needed for the backcountry hike, which is the reason I got it. The pack held 60 lb during that week and held up great! Large enough for the three day trip to not have to worry about tightly packing items, but not too large that it is uncomfortable. Favorite things about this pack are its: comfortability, hip pockets, and sleeve inside for a water bladder. I will probably buy the Women's version of this for my girlfriend soon!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough and Versatile, Build for Expeditions I wanted a backpack that's trong and versatile, lightweight yet has all the bells and whistles. Built for expeditions and designed to last with lifetime warranty, The Terra 65 was the answer to my JMT thru hike I'm planing for this summer. I use the backpack on almost daily basis for training and I couldn't be happier with the suspension system. Very comfortable and centered on your body it feels like it can handle a winter Alpine Climb with ease. The best thing I love about this pack is the pockets and loops... The North Face thought of everything and probably had the long distance trail hiker in mind as well. Perfect for weekend getaways and thru hikes, The Terra 65 pack is my choice for Mountain Trail Adventure. #neverstopexploring

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing value, very practical and comfortable! I recently purchased the TERRA 65 to go on a Euro backpacking adventure and I have no regrets, I was able to fit all my stuff and I had no trouble carrying it on the plane with me. The straps provided great support to my back which was a big deal to me because I've had an injury in the past. I totally recommend this bag to anyone, I'm very happy with my purchase! Great price and quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from i would definitely recomend this product!! this is my second terra, i used to have a older version the 55L, now i bought the 60L i was a little concern if it was going to be to big to bring it into the plane, but i already travel fro the US to South America and from South America to Europe and i had no problem to bring it with into the airplain. For traveling is excellent the perfect size and for going out for adventures to the mountain is even better, i usually use it for hikes or riding my bike with it, really confi, reliable materials i just love this back pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great All Around Pack Purchased the TERRA 65 in 2014 for a 10 day trek through Torres Del Paine in Patagonia and preformed great! Although I was worried about the size being on the smaller side, with a little planning I was able to pack all that I needed for the adventure. I also used the TERRA 65 while backpacking Europe this summer and no regrets either. The pack was able to be used as a carry on for Ryanair flights which ends up saving a ton of $$$. Be careful with how you pack the bag, while I did not have any incidents, the two zipper compartments on the face of the pack are easy pickings for pickpockets and unfortunately there are no way to secure them. All in all, I can't be happier with the purchase and look forward to the next adventures with it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not the best pack in my opinion so the backpack itself is well made but it is very uncomfortable and not breathable at all. a few issues in my opinion are the lack of features like a floating top lid and no mesh pocket for drying stuff out. because of these issues it was not the right pack for me. i took this pack on a day hike and kept it very clean but could not return it but at the end i ended up getting an osprey aether

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome bag So I only used the pack once, but it's already the most comfortable pack I have owned even before being broken in. Tons of room and well placed pockets. What more do you want? Oh yeah, totally affordable too. Lets see how long it holds up!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 6 Years and Counting I've had this pack since 2010 and initially used it for travel around Europe and Asia. After how many trains, planes, [and automobiles,] hostels, busses, and walks, I found the bag to hold up quite well over several trips, still looking good too. I've also used it on camping trips and some small multi-day excursions in the white mountains (NH), where it's also held up well and felt comfortable. It fared decently in some rainy weather but I wouldn't put it through the ringer on that one. The main drag for me on this bag is that it's not waterproof. It is water resistant - so you can stomp around outside for a while unless your in Southeast Asia during monsoon season. However, even if your gear doesn't get wet or damp, your bag is going to get heavier with accumulated moisture. The common solution to this is to buy a rain cover - however, there are also bags that are waterproof and lighter than this one. Overall, it's a fantastic bag that's served me well in travels and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a bag to take with them for that purpose.

1. Put your chin to your chest and feel for the big bone protruding on your neck at the top of your spine. That's the C7 vertebra.

2. Feel your hip bone, the top part of this is your iliac crest. Find the spot on your back that is level with the top of this crest.

3. Have someone measure the distance between these two points, following the contours of your spine.

1. Measure around your body where the hipbelt will rest while you hike. This should be just above your iliac crest.
