Durable Water Repellent
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect fit Fits perfectly. True to size. I am 5 feet 9 inches and 125 pounds(very tall and skinny) and North-face is the only jacket that I could order with a slim fit(not too large) and the length is long enough. This jacket keeps you very warm and it is very lightweight, not bulky which leaves a lot of space for bundling(which you won't necessarily have to do too much because this jacket keeps you really warm) and waterproof with a removable hood. After many struggles with finding clothes, since I am very tall and skinny, North Face has impressed me. The size finder is also perfect. Don't doubt it at all. The only thing that's not necessarily accurate is the arrival. My jacket was supposed to come in about 2-4 days and it took about a week, but order than that issue this a perfect jacket which is worth the money for sure!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this again! I love this jacket I just wish it came in more colors, I have the black one and wear it daily. I would like it in the misty rose and botanical garden green and a brown color too. I would buy one in each of those colors so I could mix it up a bit occasionally.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket! I love this jacket! It's perfect for cold weather where you do want some insulation - maybe anything below 60 degrees or so? It's definitely thicker than a rain jacket and the sleeves are on the longer side (I have shorter arms as well) but I prefer that for a jacket like this. I'm 5'1, 124 lbs, have narrower shoulders, and the small fit me perfect (I like wearing my jackets on the more fitted side). I can zip it all the way up without it feeling too constricting. I wore it in the rain this week and was impressed by how quickly the water wicked off and didn't soak into the jacket!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice winter jacket, too bulky for me Seemed like a really nice, heavy wine er jacket. Considered keeping it, but it was just too bulky for me. I like to layer with something a little lighter even in colder weather because it gives me more options and is more comfy. If you are looking for something heavier though it seemed well made; warm, and comfy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cozy and warm I love this jacket! I've taken it to the snow and when hiking. It keeps me warm. I also love that it has the extra pocket on the top right. My only problem is that it is a bit on the heavy side but its not much of a big deal considering all the positives on this jacket. Wish there were more colors too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The wife loves it. Bought as Christmas present for my wife. She loves the white color. Nice enough to wear with dressier clothes. Warm enough to wear during winter in South Carolina.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, comfy jacket! I bought this jacket for skiing, and I was a little wary since it wasn't labeled as water proof - but water resistant. I was pleasantly surprised! Not only was this jacket comfortable and warm - (in 30 degree weather) it also kept all the snow and wetness out! Definitely would recommend.
