Great pants![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In my opinion, the Aphrodite pant style is well thought out because the elastic waist makes it easy to slip into and out of; side pockets are always useful; the fabric is lightweight and moves with you versus fighting any motion. I appreciate that someone still makes a pant that's not cropped or for jogging. This pant looks good for work, or casual activities; IMO it goes anywhere except formal events. So far the color choices are good but a couple more saturated colors would be great -- like a rich chocolate brown, deep burgundy, dark charcoal, etc.

Cool pants for hot to warmer weather... love them![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love, love, love these pants. I am 65 and bought 4 pair for the Summer here in South Texas. Cannot wear shorts because of a large sunspot, so these were the coolest (literally) and best fitting pants on the market. Love the colors and wash on delicate and hang up damp till they dry. They never wrinkle and breathe beautifully, allowing for maximum breath ability in hot weather. We have hot to warm weather in Texas until December, so these pants will serve for many purposes and occasions. Wore them in 107 degrees today while exercising our Pony and to the hunting lease. I felt cool.

You will want to own more than one pair.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Aphrodite pants give Exceptional comfort on my daily 6 mile walk, no matter what the weather. My phone stays put in the back pocket as I walk. If you are my height, 5' 3", buy the regular length if you walk in the sun, so you won't get a tan line at the ankle. I own dark gray, navy and dark green ones. I wear these pants to the store, the bank and on other errands, since they look good off the trail also. The size small pants fit me well when I weighed 120 pounds up to 135 pounds and have a sturdy draw string. They look new after 100 washings. Machine wash and hang dry - always ready to wear again the next morning.

I would be hesistant in buying these pants againI was excited on purchasing this item - however on the third wear the drawstring on one of the pant legs came out. I was pretty shocked at the quality because I have other North Face items as I am a competitive climber. Really disappointed in the product. Had they not broken so easily my rating would be much higher and I would be raving about them to my friends. It is also not an easy self fix - NOTE THAT the return warranty is quite lengthy - you have to pay shipping and fill out forms and wait for them to "evaluate" the product. This is a great way to deter customers from returning their items - which does not bode well to a good review. I doubt I will be buying much from the North Face just based off of this warranty process.

Loved these so much I bought two more pair!The Aphrodite Motion pants are aptly named. The fabric is lightweight with just enough stretch to allow a good range of motion, but also manages to be very durable. What I like about the elastic waist is that it's not overly restrictive and the fabric is soft, not scratchy like some elastic bands. I am 5'-4" tall and 134lbs. The small size fits perfectly in both the waist and in length. I really like the tapered fit at the leg. Although the leg opening is narrow, the fabric gives enough to be worn over the top of my hiking boots. I gave these pants a 5-star rating because I haven't found anything I don't like about them so far. In fact, I was so pleased that I ordered two more pair in other colors.

Pockets too loose[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the fit and feel of these pants. The soft waistband makes them great for exercise or travel. However the pockets are too loose and shallow. Literally every time I sit down I have to empty my pockets or pick my belongings up off the ground. The one zipper pocket in back does not work with my phone. I may try adding a button or magnet to keep them closed. I love everything else about them.

Disappointed in purchase[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was disappointed in the fit. I have the crop pant with the same name and that fits wonderfully well. I ordered the same size in the longer pant and found that it was tight across my hips and that the pockets do not lay flat.

Great fit but poor qualityLoved the pants as soon as I tried them on. Great fit and comfortable. Poor quality. Pilling and snags first time I hiked in them. Bought 3 pairs and all are falling apart. Good for around town but any serious hiking will ruin them! Shame for how expensive they are. Being a plus size hiker I was thrilled to find name brand hiking pants in my size. But as mentioned the quality will prevent me from buying north face again.

HOW to MEASURE CHEST / BUST: Measure the total circumference of your chest at its fullest point. Ensure that the tape is horizontal when measuring.
WAIST: Place your hands on your hips and bend to the side. The indent on your side as you bend is your natural waist. Measure the total circumference at this point.
HIPS: Stand with your feet 6" apart. Measure the total circumference at the fullest point of your hip.
SLEEVE LENGTH: With your elbow slightly bent, starting at your middle neck bone, measure to the point of your shoulder and down to your wrist bone. Or take a shirt that fits well and take the same measurement.
FIT TYPES SLIM FIT: Has a close-to-body fit with fair range-of-motion. Tops are shaped at the waist with moderate body contouring.
STANDARD FIT: Fits true-to-size for easy, comfortable movement. Can either have slight body shaping or a straight fit without the shaping.
RELAXED FIT: Has a loose-to-oversize fit, with no shaping, and hangs away from the body. The shoulder may drop below the natural shoulder.
