Product Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impeccable quality for years [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second parka. The first one I bought 11-12 years ago size L, still wear it and one is in good condition. I am a nurse and the North Face offered discounts for health workers so I decided to buy a new one. I`m 5 '7 and my size is between L and XL, so this parka true to size, and I bought XL. Usually I don`t wear layers just one layer and it is enough for cold weather. This parka is long enough may be 4 inches above my knees. I like that this parka has additional line with velcro next to the zipper, so you don`t need to zip all the time. Thank you North Face!!! So happy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Four years and still going strong [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this jacket in February 2018 and have used it every winter. I live on an island in NJ where we have a lot of cold harsh wind all winter and and it has kept me warmer than any other jacket I've owned. I've also used it for trips to Colorado and New England. It holds up well to snow and wind. I'm 5'6" 131 pounds and bought a size medium. I could probably fit into a small but I usually layer up underneath. The jacket is still in great condition and I get compliments all the time and I literally wear it everyday 6 months out of the year. The quality is excellent and I highly recommend!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Shapeless Parka I tried this parka on in black at a North Face store. It had nice definition around the waist, giving it a shape that is much more flattering to a woman's body, which seems rare in parkas. I wanted gray so I ordered the gray online. When the gray parka arrived, it fit nothing like the black. The waist was shapeless and the jacket was bulky all over. I returned it and purchased the original black one I tried in the store. So, be careful if you order this online after trying one on in the store. I believe the ones online are from a different batch, made later this season than what's in the store, and they do not fit the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional beautiful [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OMG... l was on the fence about purchasing this jacket, because l really didn't want to pay that much after reading about feathers but , l am and l mean , l am very pleased. The color l choose was the Khaki Hawthorne, it's so pretty and looks classy. The hood makes the coat look more expensive. I actually ordered the black also, so l know if l like the way this one fits and look on , l know l will like the black as well. I also have the matching hat and gloves to go with both jackets. Northface you came through for me. Keep doing great things l have ordered 5 coats and love them ALL !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Maine winters This is my second winter with this coat, and I love it! I often work outside in very cold, snowy conditions, and the coat has kept me warm and dry without being too bulky. I frequently hike to winter field sites in deep snow, and climb up granite slopes. Despite the wear and tear, the coat has held up really well! The outer material is incredibly durable and keeps rain, snow, and wind out. I am 5'4" and bought a L, which fits well even with a midweight layer underneath. I also have a larger bust (36F) which can cause other coats to feel too constricting, but this parka fits well. All in all I definitely recommend this coat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Warmest and Cutest parka!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Repurchased this same style after my previous arctic parka bought in 2015 did not dry well after a wash and started smelling like a wet dog. Otherwise I would not be replacing it! It was my go-to cold weather winter coat, which looks so much classier than the overabundance of "michelin man" style coats out there. Compared to the old version of this coat, new one is now longer - which is a huge plus! On the downside, the new one feels a bit more boxy because the waist line is less form fitting. Other than that, the coat seems just as warm and well made! Get it while they still have all the colors and sizes!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Wisconsin Winter! I'm originally from Texas and desperately wanted to stay warm during the brutal below zero Wisconsin winters. I've had North Face coats before but always had to layer underneath to stay warm. I finally had had enough of being cold despite layering and bought this down parka. BEST DECISION I'VE EVER MADE! This down parka is WARM! I wear a long sleeve shirt underneath and I stay toasty warm. The silhouette is flattering and coat is comfortable. I'm a short meatball (5'0" and 160lbs) so got a large because of my tummy. This fit like a dream with plenty of room for movement or layering I wanted it. If you're on the fence about this, buy it. You'll be so happy you did!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tall Women [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love this jacket, I just wish it fit taller women better. I am 6 feet tall and have a longer arm span. A women's XL fits me in most things. I got an XL in this coat and unfortunately the sleeve length was way too short and it was a little tight in the shoulders. It fit fine everywhere else. I tried the XXL and the sleeve length was better but the rest of the coat felt big. Sadly I've dealt with this my whole life because I'm so tall. I just end up settling with men's coats. But overall it is a great coat, but not so great for taller women.

HOW to MEASURE
CHEST / BUST: Measure the total circumference of your chest at its fullest point. Ensure that the tape is horizontal when measuring.

WAIST: Place your hands on your hips and bend to the side. The indent on your side as you bend is your natural waist. Measure the total circumference at this point.

HIPS: Stand with your feet 6" apart. Measure the total circumference at the fullest point of your hip.

SLEEVE LENGTH: With your elbow slightly bent, starting at your middle neck bone, measure to the point of your shoulder and down to your wrist bone. Or take a shirt that fits well and take the same measurement.

FIT TYPES
SLIM FIT: Has a close-to-body fit with fair range-of-motion. Jackets are shaped at the waist with moderate body contouring. Can be worn over base layers or light mid-layers.

STANDARD FIT: Fits true-to-size for easy, comfortable movement. Can either have slight body shaping or a straight fit without the shaping. Can be worn over mid-layers.

RELAXED FIT: Has a loose-to-oversize fit, with no shaping, and hangs away from the body. The shoulder may drop below the natural shoulder. Can be worn over heavy mid-layers.
