The North Face FUTURELIGHT technology

The North Face FUTURELIGHT
The North Face FUTURELIGHT fabric technology features an ultra-thin nanomembrane for outerwear made with 90% recycled materials. The breathable-waterproof technology keeps you comfortable by allowing your body to breathe, prevents water and snow from soaking in and remains light, soft and durable. Ready to go on the trail, rock and crag for weather protection on your desired adventure.

DWR tech

Durable Water Repellent
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Product Reviews
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely short in the back I returned because the short length in the back made it non-functional for some key activities of mine: Riding bike, running/scrambling with pack on, XC skiing. With a different cut I would have kept it because the other features/specs are good and it has a nice feel.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great material, weird fit [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This material of this jacket felt great, but I never got to test it in the rain because of the strange fit. It’s longer in the front than the back (so cropped in the back) and was definitely not an option for me (I’m 5’11”). As soon as I bent over, my lower back was exposed. Maybe someone shorter wouldn’t mind the odd fit, but I hated it and sent it back. Great color and style otherwise, and felt very light and breathable

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very warm jacket [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a pullover for riding my bike when it gets cold. I like pull overs vs a zip up. It does a great job of insulating and it comes down over the top of your hands if you want. It's a little hard to get on over a turtleneck because the fabric in the arms sticks to the turtleneck fabric. Also, when I pulled it off for the first time, because it was sticking to the under garment, I tore the stitching loose in one place (hence the 4 vs 5 stars). Overall a good find. I'm 5'4" and 110 and I bought an extra small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A lovely lightweight jacket [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My go-to early fall and late spring rain jacket. I love that it's slightly cropped - I am a smaller human, so, it's of perfect length for me. Would love to get it in more colors!

HOW to MEASURE
CHEST / BUST: Measure the total circumference of your chest at its fullest point. Ensure that the tape is horizontal when measuring.

WAIST: Place your hands on your hips and bend to the side. The indent on your side as you bend is your natural waist. Measure the total circumference at this point.

HIPS: Stand with your feet 6" apart. Measure the total circumference at the fullest point of your hip.

SLEEVE LENGTH: With your elbow slightly bent, starting at your middle neck bone, measure to the point of your shoulder and down to your wrist bone. Or take a shirt that fits well and take the same measurement.

FIT TYPES
SLIM FIT: Has a close-to-body fit with fair range-of-motion. Jackets are shaped at the waist with moderate body contouring. Can be worn over base layers or light mid-layers.

STANDARD FIT: Fits true-to-size for easy, comfortable movement. Can either have slight body shaping or a straight fit without the shaping. Can be worn over mid-layers.

RELAXED FIT: Has a loose-to-oversize fit, with no shaping, and hangs away from the body. The shoulder may drop below the natural shoulder. Can be worn over heavy mid-layers.
