Product Reviews
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dissappointing Really wanted to love this jacket, however after wearing it on the Overland track for 6 days, where it rains quite alot, I can safely say this jacket was not very waterproof at all. We had rain for 3 days straight however by the end of the first day my moiture wicking shirt underneath was soaking wet, and it definitely wasnt from sweat because 1. It was freezing and 2. I dont sweat enough to cause a soaked top. Having said that, this jacket also has poor ventilation. Was very dissappointed and also quite miserable on the trail as I was expecting to be kept dry in this expensive jacket . My husband has the Apex jacket and he stayed completely dry.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from NOT very warm The "Warmth" rating is way off on this jacket, I live in Michigan and this isn't warm enough to spend an extended period of time outside in the winter. The fleece liner is thin and again not warm. I ended up having to take out the liner it came with and replace it with an old Columbia fleece I had laying around to make it sufficiently warm enough. Here's my two cents... spend a few more bucks and get the triclimate with the down jacket instead. The fit was perfect I'm 5'3 106lbs and I ordered the small, it's got just enough room for a hoodie or something underneath, if you want to wear it mainly with a thin liner ( like it comes with) and want it to be more form fitting I suggest the XS.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid jacket for shoulder season in Iceland I was looking for a combo jacket that could withstand some of the elements - namely, drops in temperature, wind and rain - on my trip to Iceland. After using the Watson feature, this jacket appeared to be the best option for my price range. It was excellent at repelling water - I stayed completely dry during a downpour while traveling - but I was somewhat disappointed in its insulation capacity. The inner fleece, while very comfy, wasn't as warm as I wanted and I had to wear a couple of layers underneath this jacket while wandering around. Additionally, the zipper for the outer jacket gets stuck pretty easily. All in all, this is a decent, versatile jacket and I'll be keeping it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I would not purchase this product or anything similar again Used the product a handful of times went fishing a few times and kyaking just once, and within the time I would not consider myself to have been rough with the product. The stitching is already starting to come apart. In my opinion, North Face has not made their products as durable as they once have. After being in the store getting told this was a great light weight jacket great for skiing and outdoor activities I am disappointed I spent so much. Will definitely be looking at other brands when looking for quality.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a winter jacket The previous reviews suggest this jacket is fit for cold weather, however, it is so light and doesn't have any warmth even for mild Vancouver weather. The jacket is suitable for fall weather. Do not purchase this if you plan on heading to the slopes as you will need several base layers just to stay warm. Read the return policy carefully ( as it can be misleading) as items can only be returned to a "corporate" store as opposed to a "franchise" store- I discovered that the hard way by trying to exchange it at Coquitlam Centre. I live in Coquitlam and the franchise store is in the interior of B.C. so that makes product exchange/return impossible.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I want to love it, but I want to be warm too.... I bought this because my other triclimate jacket is just a little bit too snug to be comfortable. The quality of this coat is great, but if I don't want to freeze in the current sub-zero temperatures we're having this winter, I have to wear layer upon layer upon layer, which defeats the purpose of the jacket in the first place. This jacket would be better suited for mid-fall when it's in the mid-40s or 50s.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love this Jacket God, I love this Jacket. Just in time for the weather to change kept me warm and dry. I wore it several times when it's cool and when it rains, no need for umbrella, this is what I need and good investment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best purchase I love my new jacket. It was my best purchase ever. Totally worth the money. It came in on time. I tried it on everything fit. The zipperes work great easy to take apart the inside jackets. Perfect for cold wet weather. With living in Colorado came in handy for everything weather it be the rain snow or just cold temperatures.
