Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy, Spacious, and Durable! Bought this pack without a specific trip in mind, but have since used it for week-long camping trips and hostel-backpacking in Europe. It fits everything I needed, and still had room leftover to comfortably include extra blankets, umbrellas, and towels (all very large additions)! Lots of pockets for incidentals and to keep toiletries/snacks separate. Bottom section can be separated from top with a detachable panel- GREAT to keep smelly laundry separate from clean stuff in between washes. Removable day pack is awesome, I use it almost every day for day hikes and trips. It is very large and I likely could get away with a 50L bag, but if you truly need 70L of space, I can't recommend this pack strongly enough!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pack! Backpacked through the Himalayas with this pack. Well balanced, easy to access my stuff, easy on my back and shoulders. And the convertible lid was awesome! Used it every day for quick day trips! Love this pack!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Falsely advertised as a "technical pack" I got this pack to do some mountaineering. It's a 70 L "technical pack", so I assumed that's what it would be. I tried it on with some weight and got it, threw away the receipt, and a couple days later (today), packed it up to go to the mountain. I had everything packed up and my ice axe was the last thing. I searched and searched, frantically, for a place to put my ice axe, but no luck . Now I'm stuck with a pack I can't use or return (which, admittedly is my fault, because I threw away the receipt). I'm not at all happy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pockets for days It has a ton of pockets and room for everything you might bring on a weekend backpacking trip. I recently purchased it, so unsure how it will wear. But it is extremely comfortable and can change the straps to fit your back. And the zippers make easy access to you pack, not matter where the item is inside it.

- + Size Guide

The North Face Women's Packs

SIZE One Size X-Small / Small Medium / Large
Torso Size (Adjustable) N/A" 13 - 18" 15 - 20"
Torso Size (Fixed) 15 - 18" 14 - 17" 16 - 19"
Hipbelt Size 24 - 35" 24 - 30" 30 - 36"

HOW to MEASURE TORSO SIZE
1. Put your chin to your chest and feel for the big bone protruding on your neck at the top of your spine. That's the C7 vertebra.

2. Feel your hip bone, the top part of this is your iliac crest. Find the spot on your back that is level with the top of this crest.

3. Have someone measure the distance between these two points, following the contours of your spine.

HOW to MEASURE HIPBELT SIZE
1. Measure around your body where the hipbelt will rest while you hike. This should be just above your iliac crest.

NOTES
The size info above is for The North Face technical and backpacking packs. Day packs and work / school packs are offered in One Size, and feature adjustable straps to fit an array of sizes.

Women's packs feature a women's-specific design for a better fit and more comfortable carry on smaller female torsos.
