The North Face Women's Mountain Sweatshirt 3.0 Hoodie is a warmer quilted hoodie for hiking, camping, and climbing. Soft, 100% recycled polyester lines this full length zip hoodie while the exterior features a polyester and elastane woven blend with FlashDry-XD technology. The lightweight warmth dries fast when you sweat, and a durable water repellent finish on the exterior sheds light rains. A little bit of insulation on the inside goes a long way on chilly mornings and nights.
Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.
Durable Water Repellent
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.
The North Face FlashDry
FlashDry enables the user to stay drier and more comfortable in a wide range of weather conditions and environments. It doesn't add weight or bulk and never washes or wears out. FlashDry will accelerate evaporation so you can dry off quicker.

Smaller than previous versionI love how soft and versatile this jacket is. I wear it around the house because it is so comfortable, and I wear it out because it is cute and is really light but it keeps me the perfect temperature. My issue with this version is the sizing, especially around the shoulder blades. In previous versions of this jacket (and in most TNF tops) I wear an XS. This 3.0 version of the hoodie is very tight around my upper back if I use my arms at all. When I extend my arms in front of me the fabric pulls uncomfortably and restricts my movement, so it isn't ideal for wearing while being active. Unfortunately making the this version of the jacket more fitted made it not work for me in my usual size. I definitely need to size up in this version, but I haven't gotten a new one yet.

Survives Alaska[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So yes I live in Alaska. (Insert general comment about size here) thus is my favorite jacket. I loved it so much this is my second one. These jackets are perfect to pack for a warm layer while summer hiking on a snow pack, watching the sun set at 1AM and protecting you from the hoards of bugs. Now it is my go everywhere base layer. Looks good under a weather resistant shell and feels good while cabin camping in the snow. The only flaw is it is not camp fire proof. I did get some burns from the camp sparks. I was impressed how blood and beer wash out of it nicely.

Love the look, but that's about itI purchased this in-store because it was soft and not bulky, like my other NF jackets. It was going to be my fall and spring go-to. Unfortunately, this fabric is awful. It pills and looks wore out, even a few weeks after purchasing. I have many NF jackets, as does my husband and daughter. We have never had an issue. I would never ever buy a another item in this same fabric. Too bad, because I absolutely love the style.

So soft but pilled after a few uses[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This very light jacket is soft that I wear it everyday. However, I have to note that it pilled after light use. All the reviews that mentioned this problem are correct. I bought the black. It is not very warm, but practical for 50 degrees weather. However it is so comfortable, I just wear it all the time at the office where it is cold. I recommend sizing up. I am a very petite small, but had to get the medium in order to be able to zip it up with a sweater underneath. Overall, I think it is a bit pricey for the quality. But nevertheless, it is very comfortable to wear.

Could have been the best[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Initially, this jacket was the best. I bought 3 as they are soft light. They keep you a great temperature. However, the fabric pills very fast and it loses its softness. Had to get rid of all of them shortly thereafter.

Favorite Jacket[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the older version of this jacket on Mackinac Island five years ago, not expecting much out of the purchase. Fast forward to now and that jacket has accompanied every backpacking, hiking and camping trip since it's purchase. I've gone climbing and slid down a lot of rock faces and hills in this jacket with the only blemish result being the cuff fraying. I loved it so much I bought another used one in spring and am now buying one of the newer versions! Can't recommend enough.

Absolutely love this hoodie![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a previous version of this hoodie, lost some weight and needed a size smaller. I loved the old style and I have to say I love the new style even more. The cut is flattering and it’s a great mid weight hoodie that can be used as either a mid layer or a jacket. I will be looking to purchase other colors in the future. I bought the navy.

Lightweight and warm. Great for hiking.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a passionate hiker, I am always looking for a jacket with a hood that is warm and non-bulky to fit in my day pack. Love this jacket because:
1. Long front zipper. You can unzip if you get too warm.
2. Hood with a drawstring to pull it closer to your face.
3. Long enough to keep wind from going up your back.
4. Cozy quilting inside.
5. Lightweight and non-bulky. It fits in a day pack. Much better than a bulky fleece jacket.

HIPS: Stand with your feet 6" apart. Measure the total circumference at the fullest point of your hip.
SLEEVE LENGTH: With your elbow slightly bent, starting at your middle neck bone, measure to the point of your shoulder and down to your wrist bone. Or take a shirt that fits well and take the same measurement.
FIT TYPES SLIM FIT: Has a close-to-body fit with fair range-of-motion. Tops are shaped at the waist with moderate body contouring.
STANDARD FIT: Fits true-to-size for easy, comfortable movement. Can either have slight body shaping or a straight fit without the shaping.
RELAXED FIT: Has a loose-to-oversize fit, with no shaping, and hangs away from the body. The shoulder may drop below the natural shoulder.
