The North Face Thermoball
Thermoball utilizes PrimaLoft synthetic fiber clusters to closely mimic down clusters. This offers the heat retaining power of down, but with the added durability and versatility of synthetic insulation. It'll keep you toasty warm, even in wet-weather conditions.

Very narrow in the forearms[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Monterey Blue Scattershot print is fantastic! It's great to see The North Face finally making jackets in plus sizes that are available in fun prints! Usually, plus sizes are limited to black and gray as the only colors. Unfortunately, while the 3X size works for me in general, the forearms of this jacket are rather narrow. When I bend my arms at the elbows, my forearms are squeezed tightly by the jacket (and my forearms are probably the skinniest part of me at this point). This happens when I'm wearing only a T shirt underneath. It seems that the pattern maker appropriately sized up everything except the forearms of this jacket when designing the plus sizes. I will have to return it.

I would buy this product again. In fact I have![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this jacket because I already have one similar to it but found it too small this winter. I couldn't find anything like it that fit as well so decided to order another North Face a size larger than the one I have. It fits perfect! I love that is so light weight but is still very warm. I will probably always have a winter jacket like this one!

HOW to MEASURE CHEST / BUST: Measure the total circumference of your chest at its fullest point. Ensure that the tape is horizontal when measuring.
WAIST: Place your hands on your hips and bend to the side. The indent on your side as you bend is your natural waist. Measure the total circumference at this point.
HIPS: Stand with your feet 6" apart. Measure the total circumference at the fullest point of your hip.
SLEEVE LENGTH: With your elbow slightly bent, starting at your middle neck bone, measure to the point of your shoulder and down to your wrist bone. Or take a shirt that fits well and take the same measurement.
FIT TYPES SLIM FIT: Has a close-to-body fit with fair range-of-motion. Jackets are shaped at the waist with moderate body contouring. Can be worn over base layers or light mid-layers.
STANDARD FIT: Fits true-to-size for easy, comfortable movement. Can either have slight body shaping or a straight fit without the shaping. Can be worn over mid-layers.
RELAXED FIT: Has a loose-to-oversize fit, with no shaping, and hangs away from the body. The shoulder may drop below the natural shoulder. Can be worn over heavy mid-layers.
