The North Face Women's Resolve 2 Jacket is a waterproof jacket for walkin' in the rain. You can run if you really want, but don a pack upon your back and stroll a trail for a more scenic view (and you'll be more likely to see squirrels!). The DryVent, 2L fabric is also windproof; so power through the gray, drizzly days. Stow the hood in the collar when not in use, and it won't be so bothersome.

The North Face DryVent
Dryvent™ fabrics are engineered to be fully waterproof, windproof and breathable. Durable Water Repellent
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Product Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from SUPER CUTE! Runs slightly big [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this in the light tin grey and absolutely LOVE the color!! I originally bought this in a size small, and it was pretty big on me (Note: I am short). The sleeves were about 2 inches too long and the overall fit was pretty baggy - which is fine if you want to layer things underneath! However, I just didn't like the look of it on me, so I returned it for an XS and it's PERFECT! Sleeve length is good and the overall fit is how I originally wanted it. Not too big, not too tight. Still enough room to have thin layers underneath. For reference, I am 5'0", about 118lbs, and wear a 34D.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THIS JACKET IS PERFECT! You Definitely need it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] THIS JACKET IS PERFECT! I bought one for myself and another for my mom to take on our trip to Iceland and we were super impressed with the quality of this jacket. We wore it in 30mph winds and didn't feel cold, we wore it under bursting waterfalls and rainfall and did not get a single drop of water under the jacket. Best part is how easy it gets dry after getting soaked, we simply tapped it and shook it off and the water just falls of the jacket, AMAZING. It's lightweight, easy to pack, and super comfortable. Size up if you plan on wearing it in a cold place with a fleece or layers underneath.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Resolve Jacket.. Best jacket I have ever own Best jacket I have ever owned. Light weight and breathable for those days where you are not sure if you even need a jacket. Zip it up and it keeps you warm and toasty on those cold afternoons. I especially like the comfotable feeling the fleece like materal gives you when you pull up the collar. I bought mine about a year ago and liked it so much I bought one for my daughter in college at the University of Nebraska. She liked hers so much she bough one for mom as a birthday present. Our other daughter just staretd college at CU and we sent her one too. The whole dang family has one now and we all abosultely love them !!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT WATERPROOF Do not buy this jacket if you want something that is truly waterproof! I cannot tell you how sick I am of products being advertised as "waterproof" that are at best, water resistant. I expected better from the North Face. I bought this explicitly because I needed something to be actually water PROOF for biking and hiking in the rain. I wore this today in moderately heavy rain to the post office and back today--about 20 min total in the rain, and water was soaking through all over the place. My phone was zipped up in one of its pockets and was wet, and my shirt under the jacket was all wet. This truly is unacceptable for an item advertised to be waterproof. Do not buy this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unmatched quality [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this jacket at a North Face store (or a version of it) in 2011. I used it through many, many New England rainstorms. It is now 2021 and today I've decided that I need to retire this jacket after the inner lining has started to peel and shed, however, this jacket is still completely waterproof, even as it falls apart. This jacket has lasted me TEN years, and then years of a LOT of use. Buy this jacket, it will last you a very long time with proper care. I placed an order for a new one today, and am looking forward to purchasing the same jacket again in another ten years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the color and the fit [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a really small person, five one and weight around 104lb. I always have trouble buying cloths that fits. Recently we went on a winter hiking and it was wet and raining. I got soaked, so decided it is time to buy a rain jacket. I tried the venture jacket, and had to return it, everything was too long! When this Resolve jacket arrived, I didn't have high hope. BUT IT WAS GREAT!! It fits everywhere, I can wear a few layers underneath and the design is more slim than most rain jacket. The hood has a little duck cap sticking out for enhanced face splash protection too. I got XS and Tuple color, I am so happy with it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do larger women not wear rain jackets? I am a size 16/18, which makes me the average size in the US. I ordered an XXL, it was way too small. My little sister who wears a size Small almost everywhere tried it on and it was only a little big on her. It is 100% unreasonable for you not to make jackets that fit the average sized american woman. I will actively be discouraging my friends from buying your gear. I bought a 3XL in another jacket (the only jacket you make in 3xl, it is not as cute, but it fits.) The only reason i will not be sending it back too is because I DESPERATELY need a rain coat. I am going on a hiking weekend. Averaged sized women hike too and it is pretty horrible not to be able to buy needed gear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Need a Rain Coat? Get this one! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you need a rain coat, I suggest getting this one. It does keep you dry. It is a lightweight coat that runs a bit small though. I did read the reviews before I ordered, and I usually wear a XS, but I went with a small. I'm glad I did! The small fits just fine; however, I'm only wearing a long sleeve shirt under the coat. If I wanted to layer more, it would be a snug fit for me. I'm 4'10.5", and the coat runs slightly below my bottom. The sleeve are just a smidge too long, but I'm a shorty. I love that it has a hood! This is perfect for me walking my dog, running errands in the rain, etc. I gave it four stars because I had to order up a size.

Is this function as a ski jacket

Asked by: SkiSkiSS
Thank you for the question! You can wear the Resolve 2 for any activity you wish. It is not insulated tho, so it will not be warm enough for skiing. If you allow for enough room for layering, that is always a possibility. It is really just a waterproof shell to be used on warm days (Spring/ Summer). Hope this helps!

What color is best for rain jacket?

Asked by: Alena
Hey Alena, good question! I am a fan of the Grape Leaf or the White/High Res Gray; all these colors are in short supply though, so get them while you can! Hope this helps!
