The North Face Women's Shellista IV Mid WP Boot is an insulated boot for winter walking. Packed trails and around town, they're mid-height to keep out the snow with a rubber shell at the lower portion to protect against ice chunks, rock salt and hidden debris. The remaining upper features full grain leather and ballistic nylon, while inside 200g of Heatseeker Eco insulation and a faux fur collar brings the heat. Comfort and warmth for winter lifestyles, with a Surface Control rubber outsole so you can stand your ground on wet, cold pathways.

I was scared that I should size up based on some of the reviews, but my usual size 10 fit well. I don't think these boots run small, but they are a snug fit, and narrower in the toe box than some boots. The sole has nice traction on slippery surfaces (a real issue here in Minnesota!), and these are great whether I'm walking the dogs on icy/snowy roads or making a trek to the grocery store. The style is very versatile--the black can go anywhere, which is exactly what I wanted, since I live in my boots during the winter. I'm really happy I purchased these!

I typically wear 7.5 and I did have to get these in 8.5, keep that in mind if buying online. I wore these for about 5 hours on the first day, no discomfort at all! They kept my feet warm and dry through two feet of snow with no special socks. I have been wearing them now for about three weeks on and off during cold weather and snow walks, they are holding up great, easy to clean and most of all, look stylish! My one con is that they do not have a lot of grip. You do have to watch your step when walking on ice; however, not a huge con is you are going to use them on fluffy snow. Regardless, I Would highly recommend.

I typically wear a size 7 1/2 but they were a little thigh for me. I also felt the boots were a little stiff when walking, so I felt weird when I tried to walk with them, so I returned them. This is my first time buying winter boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Boot! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love these boots! They are so warm and light weight! I wore these in the snow in MN when it was 16 degrees outside in normal socks and my feet stayed warms the whole time. They are also a nice light boot, so it makes walking in the snow much more enjoyable. I wear a size 8.5 womens shoe, and purchased a size 9 boot and they fit perfectly.

It took a little bit of time to find the right size (about a half size bigger than she normally wears) but they are so comfy and warm. She has commented on how fashionable they are for just going out and about. Only downside for her is that they might be too warm! When she is out and about, inside somewhere, she did note that they are quite warm. But it's a great problem to have.
