The North Face Women's Stretch Down Jacket is a slim fit jacket for staying warm and toasty in and out of the city. Hike a trail, then back to work by Monday. The winter shows no signs of slowing, so why should you? Wrap up with 700 fill power down that keeps you warm and can be packed up during travel or when the cold wanes for a bit. The shell creates baffles to prevent the down from shifting about and leaving cold spots, plus it's stretchy to maintain natural movement.

Durable Water Repellent
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Product Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best jacket! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Based on ratings I knew this was the coat I wanted but it was out of stock for some time. In texas we dont have alot of winter jackets in the stores but with the snow and ice this year I needed a good quality warm coat. My husband and I both bought one. We ended up going to colorado where it was below freezing every day and very windy. It kept us plenty warm enough and kept the wind out. I dont know what we would have done without them! They're so light weight, and stretchy so they're very very comfortable! We both love them and will recommend them over and over again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Feather everywhere!! This is my first down jacket from TNF. It looks stylish BUT. The feathers get out of the jacket ALWAYS!!! Even from the first time I wore it out. I thought the amount of feathers lost over time will reduce but no. It is especially annoying when I wear dark colored clothes out. The feathers always stick to my clothings! Though it is 700 filled, I'm not sure how much it has left now. Couple of days back, there was a feather that stuck out of the seam that I could not put it back in and I tried to dust it off. It was when a tragedy happened. I am not sure what I should do with it. It seems like if I pull that feather out, there will be a HOLE in my jacket. But it is extremely annoying with the feather stuck half way. Definitely not a TNF quality. Look else where.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love It! I love this jacket! The fit is great and I love love this color of red! It is lightweight, soft and comfortable. I haven't been able to wear it much since we are in between seasons and the weather keeps changing from day to day. For reference - I purchased a M. 5'3. 36C. 9/10 in Jeans. 156lbs and it fits me perfectly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks great but zipper pokes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Midwest living warrants a warm, stylish winter jacket. I was gifted the pomegranate color in medium, and I love the look - got tons of compliments! (For reference: 5' 4", 140 lbs; average/athletic build). The one flaw, and it's a pesky one that I only realized after taking the tags off and driving in it, is that when zipped up fully the zipper edge stabs me in the neck/chin. I have to tuck my chin into to avoid the poking. Ugh! You could wear a scarf or thick gaiter high enough to protect yourself. Great coat, just wish they'd fix that design. And yeah, the vinyl TNF logos (versus the normal embroidered) are a little cheap looking, though this is NOT a cheap jacket. Overall, I'm torn whether I'd recommend this to others.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great jacket but loud [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the most recent 2020 version with the 700 fill in the black color. I love everything about it except the outer material and how loud it is when the arms rub against the body of the jacket (took off 1 star for this). The outer fabric is matte and a little bit grainy/textured instead of the shiny smooth material usually found on puffers. Another minor thing is the logo is a plastic press on like a sticker and not embroidered so hopefully it will not crack or peel. The jacket is itself is warm and fits really well. Roomy interior with stretchy arms and shoulders for better movement. I am 5'3'' 125lbs. The S is a great fit with plenty of room for layering. It's very lightweight and extremely warm. So far there is a tiny leakage of feathers maybe several poke out every once in a while but that's typical of down coats and nothing noticeable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good jacket but not sure this version is worth the price [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first jacket I purchased had some issues with unraveling thread and feathers but north face was lovely and exchanged it without any hassle- this is a good jacket but the zipper comes up high and rubs under my chin which is uncomfortable...also size down...I'm typically a medium and purchased a small which fits perfectly even over thicker sweaters. Overall I prefer the previous version of this jacket that I had for over 10 years and felt better constructed

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Do not purchase the white. Great jacket, but do not get the white. It is see through which shows the odd brown feather making the jacket look dirty/ stained.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Women's Stretch Down Jacket Versus Women's Aconcagua [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased both the Stretch Down (white) and the Women's Aconcagua (black). I love both jackets, but I think I prefer the Aconcagua. For reference, I'm 5'4 and 115 lbs. and bought medium in both jackets. I like the fit/feel of the Aconcagua a little better. However, the Stretch Down Jacket is heavier and warmer, but might be a little bit much for the climate I live in. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase either jacket again. Both are made of outstanding quality. I do wish that care/cleaning instructions were included in the package

HOW to MEASURE
CHEST / BUST: Measure the total circumference of your chest at its fullest point. Ensure that the tape is horizontal when measuring.

WAIST: Place your hands on your hips and bend to the side. The indent on your side as you bend is your natural waist. Measure the total circumference at this point.

HIPS: Stand with your feet 6" apart. Measure the total circumference at the fullest point of your hip.

SLEEVE LENGTH: With your elbow slightly bent, starting at your middle neck bone, measure to the point of your shoulder and down to your wrist bone. Or take a shirt that fits well and take the same measurement.

FIT TYPES
SLIM FIT: Has a close-to-body fit with fair range-of-motion. Jackets are shaped at the waist with moderate body contouring. Can be worn over base layers or light mid-layers.

STANDARD FIT: Fits true-to-size for easy, comfortable movement. Can either have slight body shaping or a straight fit without the shaping. Can be worn over mid-layers.

RELAXED FIT: Has a loose-to-oversize fit, with no shaping, and hangs away from the body. The shoulder may drop below the natural shoulder. Can be worn over heavy mid-layers.
