Product Reviews
Rated 3 out of 5 by from No Embroidery [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A North Face sticker instead of embroidery. I just received the jacket and am thinking about sending it back. C'mon North Face, don't start cheapening your jackets to save money. Also, my old jacket cuff, the elastic is hidden and the cuff is smooth. Now they just leave the elastic out around your wrist. Other than that it looks similar to my old thermoball. Can't decide what to do. When a company is just starting out, they go over and above to make things perfect. When they become popular, then they start doing things like eliminating embroidery and using stickers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Now I can quit envying others' NF jackets [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this jacket specifically for an Alaskan trip I have coming this summer. I wanted something lightweight, thin enough to not be bulky looking when layering, but with color. I purchased a L and XL to try, in the blue & wine colors. I'm 5'2" and 155#, and a bit broad across the chest. The L fit perfectly, and the blue lovely. The XL was quite a bit larger so will be returned. I probably could have gone with a L 1/2, but this isn't shoes! I've still tried on every layer I will wear and the L will be just fine. Quality is top-notch, and I've since purchased a NF waterproof matching shell!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cheesier quality, adhesive logo, no embroidery: Disappointed [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a dozen Thermoball jackets that I've acquired over several years. But this "Eco" jacket is way more flimsy, the collar is not as nicely finished, and TNF is now using a cheap heat-pressed logo sticker on the front and back (a la Eddie Bauer). If you hold this jacket up to the window, you can literally see daylight through it. This is really disappointing because it's still close to a $200 jacket, before tax. But I'd rather pay more, TNF, than have your quality and attention to detail diminish!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits even me! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very busty (42DD) and the XL fit me pretty well. It's a little more comfortable unzipped than zipped. I tried it on with a T-shirt underneath, so it may be a bit snug with a heavier shirt. I bought the gold color, which is beautiful. And, the sleeve length is perfect! They don't hang down over my hands, like the jackets of another popular outdoor company (which starts with a P). Thank you, North Face, for not thinking all bigger women have chimpanzee arms! (I'll buy another next year if the same sizing).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievably warm for how light it is! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Yes, it's expensive but it's totally worth it! If you're on the fence about it, just get it. It's sooo lightweight and shockingly warm. The color is rich and beautiful. My hands stay very warm in the pockets, which says a lot because I do tend to have very cold hands. The only bummer is that I wanted to replace the inner jacket of my ThermoBall Snow Triclimate 3-in-1 Parka (2015 version) and the zippers on this jacket and the original are totally different, so I can't zip this into the outer shell. But that's nothing against the current model so did not knock it down a star. Love this jacket!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ThermoBall jackets are "slim fit" [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I already own 2 ThermoBall from 2018 and 2019 size S and love them. Just received ThermoBall Monterey Blue in S and tag says, "slim fit". Totally too small in shoulders and torso. I stopped by the store and ALL ThermoBalls/colors have "slim fit" tag. Did NF change design recently? Website states "standard fit" for all ThermoBalls and I don't feel that is not accurate. I will have to try a medium. Love the jacket but not happy about wasting my time and needing to return/reorder.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better logo please [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is exactly what I needed. Something lightweight but warm for rising my bike in the cold northwest winter. I have an e-bike so don't generate the heat those "real" bikers do. And don't ride when it's raining. It fits just right. Not too long but a bit longer in the back. I love the color. My only gripe is that for almost $200 they could have done a stitched logo vs the iron on cheap looking decal. Really! It looks like a smudge. When you wear NorthFace you want to broadcast it (ok maybe my ego talking-I get that). Nevertheless I got rational and chose the best of three jackets I bought and returned the other two.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the same. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I agree with other reviews regarding quality. I'm all about recycling and have no problem (prefer) purchasing products made with recycled materials. However if the level of quality is compromised as with this jacket (warmth level, zipper quality) then don't charge the same premium price ++ just because of brand. I don't even have a problem with the logo not being embroidered but the overall quality for price--I'm starting to wish I had returned this. Btw, bought it for daily use so I wouldn't wear out my Triclimate inner which is of better quality. I thought this would be comparable but it is not. Sorry TNF, mark missed. Sorry me, money not well spent.

HOW to MEASURE
CHEST / BUST: Measure the total circumference of your chest at its fullest point. Ensure that the tape is horizontal when measuring.

WAIST: Place your hands on your hips and bend to the side. The indent on your side as you bend is your natural waist. Measure the total circumference at this point.

HIPS: Stand with your feet 6" apart. Measure the total circumference at the fullest point of your hip.

SLEEVE LENGTH: With your elbow slightly bent, starting at your middle neck bone, measure to the point of your shoulder and down to your wrist bone. Or take a shirt that fits well and take the same measurement.

FIT TYPES
SLIM FIT: Has a close-to-body fit with fair range-of-motion. Jackets are shaped at the waist with moderate body contouring. Can be worn over base layers or light mid-layers.

STANDARD FIT: Fits true-to-size for easy, comfortable movement. Can either have slight body shaping or a straight fit without the shaping. Can be worn over mid-layers.

RELAXED FIT: Has a loose-to-oversize fit, with no shaping, and hangs away from the body. The shoulder may drop below the natural shoulder. Can be worn over heavy mid-layers.
