Worst design ever[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a terrible design for a kids boot. It's a great quality boot as with all northface. And if my kids could get them on, they would be great. But the top doesnt open any farther and my kids struggle to get their feet in the boots. And if they do, the inner lining is pushed to the bottom, so we have to start over. These boots are so frustrating. Who ever designed these has never had to put boots on a child. Why wouldnt you make it be able open farther to put your foot in?!?!?

Poorly designed[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not sure why everyone likes these boots. Maybe I received a defective pair? I think these boots are terrible! These boots are poorly designed. It's very difficult to put these boots on my daughter (6 yrs old). The boots cannot loosen enough, even though there is plenty of laces, the material will not allow the boots to expand to allow the feet to slide in. In addition, the liner slides down and gets bunched up under the heal. To top it off, they're not waterproof. I own a ton of North Face gear and never have been dissatisfied as I am with these boots.

Would never buy these againBought these and my child wore them for maybe 3/4 of the winter. I noticed they were getting kinda smelly so I took the liners out and noticed they were somehow getting wet inside, I washed both the liners and boots and when I took them out of the washer there was red flakes everywhere from the boot liners disintegrating. And the inside of my washer was a mess. The insoles of the boots also came out and were completely destroyed. I've never experienced something like this with a shoe or boot and to not even get a full season out of them was pretty disappointing.

warm and easy to tighten[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 6-year-old loves these boots. They are waterproof and he has never complained of being cold. I really like that the adjustment is a simple bungee cord and there are no laces to get soaked or velcro to get ruined. My biggest complaint is that the liner is not attached to the rest of the boot so unless my kid is slow and careful (two words not associated with any 6-year-olds I know) when putting them on, he smashes the entire liner down into the footbed and then the boots are super uncomfortable. If that issue were fixed, I'd buy a pair of these in every size.

Design flaw for active kidsBought for my 6YR old son. Was great at first but half way through the winter season noticed his feet were getting wet each day. Realized the soles had worn down at bit at the heel on both boots. This exposed vents/channels in the rubber sole that went straight through to the inner liner (maybe to make the boots lighter or for greater cushioning?). So snow and water went straight through to the liner and his sock. I understand there will always be damage/wear and tear from active boys but was surprised it lasted only half a season.

Love ❤️ it!These shoes look great. My kid usually says no to anything new we want to wear him but this one, love at first sight for him I guess. He never took it of. I believe it keeps his foot warm, he usually trips couple of times before getting used to any new shoes or boots but this one is cake walk for him. He likes to run with it. Living in northern states and given New England's weather, these boots are a charm. Very vibrant and colorful boots, they look very cute. There's no compromise on build or color or style factors just because they come in small sizes, I mean, the craftsmanship. Take a bow TNF, very well made.

Happy mom from
Picky son loves themWe live in Upper Michigan and get a lot of snow (300+ inches a year)! My son needs a reliable boot for warmth, traction and to keep his feet dry. These boots are a huge success! Not only does my picky 9- year old love them but so does this mom. :) This is the 2nd pair he has had now. He won't wear any other kind. Thank you North Face!

We Could Not put this Boot on her with Jesus Hand....[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These boots fit. But after the workout of putting it on it simply wasn't worth it. There is hardly any room for the foot to transition from the ankle area to the flat bottom. I think I'll return them or size up.
