ThermaCapture

ThermaCapture
ThermaCapture Radiant Heat Technology is a proprietary reflective coating that we apply to a range of surfaces. By reflecting radiant heat back to your body that is otherwise lost, this extremely lightweight coating turns that surface into a very efficient heat reflector, amplifying warmth without the excess weight or bulk of added, conventional insulating materials.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable ultralight winter bed This pad is comfortable and warm, plus it is one oft he lightest inflatable winter pads. I read you need an R value of 5.1 to sleep on the snow, but this one works for me on snow. The valve design is the best out there and is not a source of leaks at the attachment points. There are a fewdownsides. It makes a crinkly sound when you move while laying on it, but. it stops when you stop moving. Like all other ultralight items, you have to handle it with care. All inflatable pads are susceptible to leaks, and a pad with a leak goes flat while you sleep, losing all of its comfort and insulating ability. Still, considering all the upsides and downsides, this is a great pad, and I would buy one again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight, comfortable, warm! I bought this pad two years ago. At the time I read reviews that mentioned it was noisy, but after using it a few times the initial crinkle has left and I don't notice any noise from the pad. I've spent about a month sleeping on it so far and it has been great. I really enjoy the horizontal baffles compared to the vertical baffles of my other pad. This pad is also noticeably warmer than my other one, even though they apparently have very similar R values. Even though this isn't the lightest NeoAir available, it was a significant improvement in weight over previous pads I had owned and used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far it rocks It is lightweight and has a high r-value that I was going for without being too overpriced. I just got into camping last year and really only go to the red river gorge in spring/summer/fall to climb and camp but wanted to get a pad that I could use in the future for anything a little more intense. I think this pad is perfect. It is a little noisy but I'll take that if it means I'm warmer. It comes with a sweet bag you can use to blow it up (which are quite pricey sold seperately) and also a repair kit. I tihink this is a great pad and might be just one step down from the neoair xlite depending on what is more important to you: weight or r-value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Comfortable! This pad is extremely comfortable. It packs down fairly small and is absolutely the best option if you are looking to buy one pad to use during all 4 seasons. The only draw back is the "noise" this product produces when laying on top of it, but once you get past that you'll sleep like a baby. This is the kind of product you buy then turn around and ask yourself "how the heck did I camp without one of these?" Definitely a game changer. I almost threw my Z-lite in the trash after returning home from my first week out with this pad. I will never go back to anything that isn't this exact pad. I hope they never change it (unless they plan to make it quieter)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great product, and you will not be let down with this one! Therm-a-rest sleeping pads are one of those products that you get what you pay for. Now if you're like me you already know what you are looking at. So you want the negatives of the product first so you can get what you want and compare products. The only thing I dislike about the all season pad is that the reflective material used for the insulation inside of the pad is crinkly, and a bit noisy. It's a, you win some you loose some, with this one. But I do think its a total win. I can deal with the noise. It is very warm, light, small packing, easy to inflate, comfortable, durable, and large enough for me to sleep well. I would recommend this to anyone! Buy it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best all around I bought this mattress when they first came out and was happy with it. I was later tempted by the lighter weights to try the X-Lite and the X-Therm. After carrying each one for more than 500 trail miles each, I came back to the All Season! You don't stick to it in hot weather and it keeps me warm from the ground in cold weather. Worth the weight!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and comfortable I've used the original NeoAir for years and thousands of miles and have been completely satisfied with it for three season hiking. However, for an upcoming multiday AT section in PA with snow camping and temps in the teens, it really wouldn't be enough so I got the NeoAir All Season. This is the warmest mattress I've slept on. It is very comfortable when adjusted correctly (and the included pump makes that much easier since there isn't a partial deflation as warm, moist air condenses). We camped on the snow a couple of nights. With my original Neo, I would gradually sink into the snow as the mattress transmitted my body heat. With this one, there was scarcely any evidence I'd been there and I slept just like an adult. (Babies actually wake up several times a night crying.) When new, these mattresses have a little bit of the NeoAir "crinkle" sound when moving around. Not nearly as noticeable as the original, but be forewarned if sleeping in close quarters and a restless sleeper. I'm assuming this will decrease with use as it did with my original Neo. Assuming the mattress and pump are as durable as my original, this one's a definite winner and a great bargain when bundled with the pump and stuff sack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favorite I've used a lot of different pads over the years and the NeoAirs are the best by far. You get superior thickness (for comfort) but much better packability than the self inflators etc. I like the all season as a year round pad in the Sierra. I have about 30 nights on this thing with no signs of leaking etc. Note If it deflates in cold conditions, you are pretty much hosed in terms of residual R-value unless you repair and reinflate. Hasn't happened to me but could be dangerous in severe conditions. Always carry a repair kit. Also, very noisy when you roll around/shift on it. Still my all-around favorite pad by far.,,
