Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great in warm weather The pad provides a good sleeping surface, and the inflation allows enough leeway to to sleep on your side. Plus it rolls up very small. One downside to the decreased volume is decreased length. In warm weather this isn't a problem but in colder weather I really missed that extra layer between my feet and the ground.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just What I Wanted! I wanted a lightweight, compact sleeping mat for backpacking, but prefer a mat with some thermal qualities. This item was exactly as listed and does the job I want it to do. I have not had it very long, but so far, I see no reason it won't hold up to frequent use. Rated 5 out of 5 by from great so far We've only had this for less than a month (so I can't say how durable it is long term), but we used it already on a recent camping trip. The main reason for the purchase was for backpacking trips- having something light and compact. But it also functions well for regular camping trips for the same reasons. We have another older thermarest that is thicker, bigger, and heavier, and yet the quality and comfort of the ProLite is even a little better. I accidentally bought this one instead of the ProLite Plus (which has comparable specs, but is .5 inches thicker), and we decided to keep this one because it was comfortable. My partner is 6'4" and he loves it. Not sure how it handles extreme cold, since we are not camping in cold weather. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it! I bought this after deciding to spend more time this year backpacking, and used it last week in West Virginia. It self inflated in no time, requiring only one additional breath for me to feel perfectly comfortable. It stayed inflated, didn't slide around, and helped me get a great nights rest. I was worried about rolling it up and fitting it back into its stuff sack, but it was easy and pain free. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pad for Backpacking Pad strikes a nice balance between weight (very light), packability (doesn't take up too much room in your pack), and comfort. I'm a big guy (6' 4", 270 lbs) so I ordered the large. Bought this pad for an upcoming West Coast Trail adventure. Seems very durable but make sure you get a repair kit just in case. A comfortable, good nights rest and lighter/more packable than the ProLite Plus. This is the one to get...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super light The best feature is the weight. Yes, it's tiny, but it packs tiny, too. Self-inflates fairly well after a couple uses and a few extra breaths make it perfect. Warm enough for summer and decent shoulder wx. Also good inside a quilt when using a regular foam pad for insulation outside because it doesn't make noise. 4/5 [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy with it Checked the boxes for me. Self inflating, packs down small enough. Light and not expensive. Durable so far, don't think I'll have to worry about the dog. Warm enough for me in the 40s. I think it's comfortable, but I could sleep on anything. I mainly carry a pad for cold ground. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Old stock? I purchased the Thermo-Rest self inflating sleeping pad. After I unpacked it and unrolled the pad on the living room floor the next morning it was still only partially inflated on one side. I did try to inflate by air but felt something must be wrong with the product.

What material is this pad made from?

Asked by: Annie2
Hey Annie2, great question! The exterior fabric is polyester while the internal foam is polyurethane, I hope this helps!
