The Therm-a-Rest ProLite Sleeping Pad is a self-inflating mattress for 3-season backpacking. Light and compact, the layer of foam has been die-cut to reduce weight while maintaining a 2.4 R-value for sleeping outdoors. Well, you can also be in a tent if you'd like, either way it'll offer a 1" separation from you and the cold ground while you gain much needed rest after a long day of hiking. Featuring the WingLock valve, it increases airflow for inflation and even makes deflation easier when it's time to pack up camp.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality Product Using the Large version (196x63cm with no issues although I am 50lbs lighter than the other 6'5" reviewer. At 660gm it is a decent compromise of cost vs weight vs pack size vs R-value. Fits nicely inside my Rab Ridge Raider hooped bivi. Also fits in the Thermarest seat-adaptor to make an agreeable chair. An inflatable such as a Neo-air or an Exped Ultralite would be lighter, pack smaller, and insulate a little better but you're shafted if they puncture and they need more inflating that a couple of puffs through the valve. Also at 7-9cm depth they aren't always first choice for bivvying as sleeping bag loft may be compromised.

I appreciate that the valve design is 'tried & true' but it's past time for Therm-A-Rest to get working on a new design/generation for it's more 'classic' line of pads.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great size, weight and comfort Purchased for a week of wild camping in the Highlands, so good I snuck a weekend in the Lake District into my break. Great size and weight for trekking as well as warm on the cold, wet Scottish ground. This mat inflates quickly while the ability to adjust the firmness suits my large frame well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Durable, Stable, Doesn't Break the Bank! Self-inflating is very good compared to other brands, but still needs a few breaths to fill it up full. Durable has been taken through tough Scottish and Colorado winter and summer conditions, and has only given out on my last trip as it has started to deflate, After 4 Years. Not as warm or as comfortable as the Neo Air X therm, but a lot less noisy! Light weight, comfortable and Packs relatively small, And Wont break the Bank! Overall excellent pad for long trips where durability is
