Rated 3 out of 5 by from Best lightweight backpack I have had This is my bag for my bike commute, which for me is a 3-4 day a week short 4 mile ride. Biggest snag: Even with the bag not particularly full, I always feel like I am fumbling to stick shoes in the inside pockets for them... Something about that design just doesn't quite work smoothly. But I love the low profile, feel like it is the right size and weight. Less significant to me, but I do wish there was a little more division in the small zip pocket. I've returned to my old habit of just keeping a pair at the office when I need to punch up from what I bike in (I don't go clip/clipless on the commute bike).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Bag that is Super Lightweight I use this backpack for biking and carrying any extra stuff I need while on the bike. The straps are just awesome at distributing the weight evenly. I've also used it for work carrying my laptop, clothing, extra shoes, etc. and the backpack not only held everything, but was very lightweight so it didn't hurt my shoulders over a 25 mile ride in each direction. I've also used it for work on a few occasions and it holds more and is lighter weight than my smaller messenger bag. This is actually the second one I've purchased. My wife and I use the other one as a diaper bag because of the lightweight and optimal storage for diapers and all related stuff as well as for a cold pack for food. These bags are high quality and worth the money!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not water proof/resistant Beautiful bag, light weight, perfect for commute to work. I wish that this bag had more reflective accents. Also, this bag is NOT water resistant. On several rides when I encounter rain on the route, clothes are wet. If you ride and have chance of rain, make sure to bring plastic bags along to keep things that need to remain dry dry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My Second Raider I've had the original Raider bag for a few years and am amazed in its condition (no busted zippers or straps and only recently a minor tear) considering how I've used and abused it. The new Raider has changed slightly; zip pocket feels slightly more shallow, material feels different. Neither changes affect quality or performance. It really is a perfect daypack if you want something light and fairly tough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not a cyclist, but this bag suits my need! I love everything about the Raider Pack. I am not a cyclist whatsoever and I've never bought a backpack in years - I've always used my Timbuk2 Proof Messenger bag (2014) for work. But when I started going to the gym at work, I tried using a gym shoulder bag but that didn't work out as the bag was just too big. So I searched for a compact bag that will fit my sneakers, a couple shirts, shorts/pants, socks, earphones, lock, and water. I've always used Timbuk2 since 2010/2011 so naturally, I looked around the Timbuk2 site for a new bag. The Raider Pack just has everything I needed: place for my shoes, clothes and water bottle. Plus a small pocket for small stuff like keys, earphones, etc. I love the bag so much I ended up using it even when I don't plan on going to the gym. My only complain is that I think the straps are placed too close to each other. It actually starts to strain my shoulder right at the bottom of my neck. Other than this, the quality, features, number of pockets are just perfect for my use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best thought out bag for fast commuters I'm 4 years in with daily use on this bag, very durable. Has enough room for a laptop, and lunch. Or shoes and laptop, but likely not both. I love that this bag is sleek enough that you don't feel slowed down by it will cruising down rolling hills in the drops. Only one thing this bag could use, strap retainers. They'll be flapping like crazy at speed. Thank you for designing such a great bag, I feel like Timbuk2 knows me like Google knows me, but in a less creepy way.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Timbuk2 loyalist This beautiful, light pack is my 10th-ish Timbuk2 bag. I swear by these bags, but I'm picky, and won't buy any new model. I got this bag because I wanted a sporty bag I could use for the gym and on excursions - day hikes, concerts, and the like, and it's PERFECT for those things. When I use the bag for the gym, I can easily fit tennis shoes, a change of clothes, a few snacks, my water bottle, wallet, keys, and even a book or my laptop. It does not keep stuff that are wet or dry separated, so it's not ideal for swim days, but even so, a bag within a bag works well! On the weekends, I throw my wallet, keys, jacket, and some snacks/water in, and I'm all set for a hike or an excursion. This bag isn't water proof, so I got one of those rain sleeves. It is super light, mostly because it doesn't have the stitching/structure most Timbuk2 bags have. If you're looking for a "sturdy" type of bag - this isn't it. This is a lightweight tRavel bag. I do wish there was a wet/dry compartment or at least some kind of zippered pocket inside, but this bag has been pleasant to use so far!
