The Timbuk2 Swig Pack is a flap front backpack for the daily commute. The slim design allows you to bring along essential items to and from the office without making it look like you're a pack mule. A 15" laptop fits in its own side-entry pocket, safe and secure from other items. A U-lock holder prevents it from bouncing around when you're on the move and the water bottle pocket zips away when not in use. Organize your pens and pencils, or maybe your best styluses and get on the bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost perfect I started to use this for graduate school after I finished my coursework. I like the style and the laptop slot but the only real issue I have with it is the compartment size. Since the pouches push into the backpack, it puts a lot of pressure on my laptop display and damaged a hinge on my laptop so if the compartment pouches we're designed to push out of the laptop then I think it would be much better. If they added about an inch to the inside of the main compartment I think it would be perfect because then that would give you more room to pull out your pens/pencils/etc. But overall I still think it's well designed and high quality

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, Tight, Outtasight I commute by bus, ferry and foot -- and this bag is perfect. This is my third Timbuk2 bag in over 20 years -- I keep them for a long time, as they last and last. Finally wore out my old laptop bag (so much so that it cannot be handed down to anyone) and needed something slimmer and light. This bag delivers. It's sleeker than my last one, lightweight, holds a ton of stuff, has lots of quick-access pockets and the straps are super well made and comfortable. Solid!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This backpack really is perfect! I love my new Swig backpack! The buckles, which are hidden by the flap, keep things secure (think crowded train), but the hidden side zip allows super easy access to my laptop or other things I store in that large space. There is another hidden zipper to an outside pocket for easy (for me) wallet access. There are also plenty of other zippered pockets for easy organization. Best of all, its default position is very thin and hanging-strap-free - doesn't look like I'm going on an expedition when I go to work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My bag is my buddy now! This is my 5th Timbuk2 bag and it has to be my favorite. Avoiding the Velcro is nice and the amount of pockets and place to put things is magnificent. That should be shown in the video and it would have made it easier to buy. The fit on me is perfect. I rarely do reviews but this bag encourage me. Hope it last long because I'm feeling this one. Peace y'all hope I helped someone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Functional commuter backpack I was looking for a bag that would fit my 15" laptop and all my essentials. The Swig caught my eye and I bought the bright Arcade colour. I really like the thoughtfulness of the bag. I don't find the side zip particularly useful but I don't mind that it is there. I really wanted to put some cute pins on the flap but I didn't want to pierce the lining because the hole would be noticeable. Instead I put my pins on the buckle strap. I walked around with this backpack filled and my back did start to hurt but it's nothing new for me. All in all a pretty good bag.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Returning I have an old Timbuk2 Candybar pack and was looking for a replacement. This is unfortunately not it. The padding makes the bag substantially heavier, and also makes it sit awkwardly on my small frame (I'm 5'2"). I love all the pockets and the design overall, but I transferred my normal daily load from my old bag to the new bag and it felt much heavier and more awkward.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slim and spacious I got this pack to be my daily commuter bag. It's super slim which is perfect for packed trains and busy sidewalks but I was worried there wouldn't be enough organization in such a thin bag but was way wrong. This bag has so many little pockets and separate pouches that it's perfect. I love it so far.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A little Small I've been using this backpack for about a year carrying a laptop, charger, and portable document scanner. I also carry some small miscellaneous office supplies. It's well built and stylish. My two biggest gripes are that it's relatively cramped, and the water bottle pocket is not designed for 32 ounce water bottles. I also have a medium tumbuk2 messenger bag, which feels significantly larger and more functional. I feel that this pack would be an appropriate alternative afice to a briefcase, as they are comparably sized. this bag seems a little to small to be considered a commuter bag.
