Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good fit but NOT waterproof and BAD laces Good fit out of the box but these boots are NOT waterproof. If they get wet, my footbox will be wet. I hiked 7 miles in a light snow this past weekend, boots became saturated from the falling snow and by the end of the day my socks were wet and cold. NOT what you would expect from a GorTex boot!! It must be a design flaw. Laces are extremely cheap and broke after 7 uses. Why did Vasque choose such flimsy laces on a "durable" boot?? Spend the extra pennies and put in a lace that works! Boots have held up so far after 2 months. Will have to see how they hold up in the long run.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely Comfortable Boot I purchased this boot to hike the Chilkoot Trail over 5 days. The boot fits extremely well, was easy to break in and was extremely comfortable over the five days. My feet stayed dry through the creek crossings where the water was over my ankle in places. The only issue I had was with the laces which both tore after only wearing the boots for less than a week.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fit, but bruh, the laces Boots are a great fitting boot. Have about 90 miles on them so far after a trip to the Idaho Rockies and another to Smoky Mountains in TN. The laces are thin, broke on the first morning in Idaho side-hilling some steep terrain. Tied a knot in them and kept rolling. Also, had to start lacing them a different way because the laces were digging into my foot from being so thin. Overall, it is great fitting boot for me especially after adding a set of Cadence insoles. Looks like there is a leather version of this boot now, that may be my next pair. FIGURE OUT THE LACES....PLEASE!!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing boot, horrible laces/eyelets Amazing boots from the get go, but I knew the laces would be an issue. Turns out the first time I tried properly tightening the lower I busted the outer shell of the lace. I plan on either putting some small key rings in the sharp eyelets, or replace them all together. Not much side to side support in the ankle but they aren’t designed to be so don’t expect stiffness. Would give 5 stars but the laces are so so bad. Why in the world would there be anything but smooth round eyelets on any boot?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best hiker I've owned Bought boots roughly 1.5 years ago. I'm between a 9 and 9.5 in size. I got the 9 wide and they were a great fit. I used them as a daily boot doing everything from medium hiking to heavy work for the past year and they've held up great. Goretex on Past boots I've owned usually only held up for 6 months or so. I was pleased to get a good full year of dry feet out of these. I've read the complaints about the laces but I did not have the same experience. My laces did fail after 1.5 years almost simultaneously....a good life span for laces. Vibram soles held up great as well. I will be purchasing another pair.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Broken laces! This is the first time I bought Vasque boots and they fit great! I usually have trouble finding footwear with enough room in the toe box, but these are perfect. I have extra wide feet (9EE) and these fit just fine. Unfortunately the shoe laces are very thin and broke after my second day of hiking. The laces also dig into the tongue pretty bad since they are so thin. I am not sure what the ideal lace replacement is yet, but definitely not the stock laces!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from First and last Vasque boot Cheap laces snapped on me when I needed these boots the most on the trail. Had a back-up pair but they wouldn't fit through the TINY metal loops built specifically for TINY cheap laces. Had to hobble the rest of the way in wet boots. My first and LAST Vasque purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Look no further [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lets face it, good hiking boots have a huge price range. I had no idea which to settle on without feeling like I got ripped off. After talking with others and a couple weeks really diving in on the research, I gave VASQUE saga GTX the green light. I got these magical boots about a month ago and wear them 3-4 times a week. Right out of the box, perfect fit. No break in required. I'm stomping over rocks, through mud and across streams, socks stay dry. Even with my weak ankles, the high boot keeps me from rolling or twisting and allows for confident secure footing. You could spend way more and get less results, but who wants to be that guy? Grab these, you wont be disappointed.
