As a Canadian Forest Ranger and Search and Rescue technician I was looking for something that would hold up in extreme conditions. I have a pile of old boots that did not hold up to the stresses of my work. I daresay I will have these for several years. After only 2 weeks of work and around 200km they are already breaking in well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mnwetland from Great boots, very comfortable I got a pair of these 4 years ago, after several hundred miles I'm looking to finally get a new pair. By far the most comfortable pair of boots I've owned. I work outside doing biological surveys for a living and these boots have exceeded my expectations on durability. The only issue I've had is on the hardware, the original eyelets eat up laces pretty quickly, so plan on having some extra laces handy. I've also had a few eyelets break, but a shoe repair shop can replacement them for a few bucks no problem, comes with the territory if you're putting a lot of rough miles on them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PPan from Great hunting and backpacking boot! I did a ton of research prior to picking these up for the upcoming hunting season and have already put them through the wringer. Heavy rain, deep mud, and miles of scouting thus far and my feet are happy. Minimal break-in and truly waterproof/mud-proof. The fit is true to size and my heel locks down well with minimal slippage. All around great full leather boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by From Brent from MENS ST. ELIAS FG GTX Only boot I wear for the past 5 years. I wear them daily at work on steep hillside vineyards, and I backpack and hike in them. They are waterproof and work well in snow with gators and thick socks. I think they also look great especially once they get seasoned a bit. They usually last me about 1.5-2 years after everyday use and some heavy outdoor activity. These boots are fine for a big day hike but sometimes i prefer to use a lighter trail shoe because these things are a bit heavy, but they heaviness is definitely worth it for the durability and support that this boot brings. I would rate these boots a 97% out of 100 as they certainly have their use case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RubberBaby from Held up for 9 months! I got a pair of these 9 months ago and have used them almost every day since. The outer portion of the laces broke at month 6 but the inner portion of the laces allowed me to continue to lace up. I used these as a daily construction work boot and was very impressed with how the boot held up. The boot didn't break down visually on the outside as far as I can see but I did wear the vibram soles flat in a few place. I went hiking a couple times with it early on and it was very comfortable. These boots held up better and were comfortable longer than any other boot I have every purchased. I highly recommend these boots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by John S from Good boot. Couple improvements to make great On my 4th pair. I wear at least 200 days a year. Break~in takes a couple days. They run narrow. I utilize them as my go to boots for upland hunting. I easily put 8 to 11 miles on a day while hunting. They offer a ton of ankle support without discomfort and a good for people who need arch support. Draw backs= don't be surprised if the sole crack after 1.5 to 2 years. First 2 pairs did. 2nd 2 have not. Maybe they altered sole. Once it gets to 70 degrees and sunny, they get very hot on my feet. I do not enjoy wearing them at those times but I still do. The soles are not good on wet, smooth rocks. But its a good boot. I'm actually into my 3rd season with this last pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Green from Can't go wrong. Great Boots. These are my 3rd pair of Vasque boots I've owned in 20 years. Great build and I love that they are Brown and not 7 different colors. They are sturdy enough to take many miles of heavy packing. Also Vasque has great customer service.
