The Weston Snowboards Backwoods Snowboard is a versatile powder board for advanced freeriders looking for a Swiss Army knife of a deck. The directional camber, tapered tail and wide nose make surfing through powder virtually effortless and the carbon V in the tail keeps things springy and responsive. Though designed to be a directional powder board, don’t be fooled, this board can still rip switch or carve up the groomers on those days it didn’t dump two feet overnight. Did we mention proceeds from this board benefit the National Forest Foundation? Feel good and ride good with this bad boy under your feet.

My new fave![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had heard so many great things about this board and decided to pick one up. I’m so glad I did! I got this in a 157 and ride mostly trees and some groomers. Its fat nose and sidecut makes it such a fun board in trees! The board is quick and nimble with the perfect amount of flex! It’s also surprisingly great on groomers, making it my new fave for resort riding. I liked it so much I also picked up a carbon split version in a 160.
For size reference: I’m 5’9” 185lbs, Size 10.5 Burton Photon StepOn boots/bindings.
Board size: 157
The 157 felt pretty good for my specs. Amazing on the groomers. At first it felt maybe just a hair short in deep powder, but I wouldn’t want to sacrifice the nimbleness of the 157 in the trees for more float. The 157 still floats really well at speed. I’ve experienced no boot drag with my 12f, -8r stance.

Great all mountain board![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this board for 3 seasons now and am in love. This thing will literally go anywhere that you ask it to. Deep pow? Trees all day? Party laps on the resort? There hasn't been a day yet that I wished I was riding something different. Being a directional all mountain board, this thing has been a game changer for me. No matter what the conditions this board is a blast and a must have if you are looking for a quiver killer.

Solid POW focused ripperI've ridden this thing around Whistler Blackcomb for the past 3 season. Super solid, great stable board. It has a good amount of stiffness, not a noodle, but not dumb stiff, kind of Goldilocks style for me.
Still has a good size tail, so stable on cliffs and thru the park, lays turns on hard pack so well, and can be ridden switch.
