Response A3 suspension: Auto angle adjust (A3) hipbelts and shoulder harnesses adapt to your unique body geometry for a custom fit every time you shoulder the pack
Patented system allows both harnesses and both hipbelts to rotate independently of each other, delivering a dynamic yet stable ride that adapts to your body's movements over different terrain
Response A3 helps align your center of gravity over your walking path, saving energy you'd otherwise spend on stabilization
That little bit of energy saved adds up with every step, increasing your overall efficiency-and preserving your bliss-as the miles tick by
3D AIR hipbelts and shoulder harnesses: Precurve technology and multi-density lifespan EVA foam construction combine to eliminate hotspots and relieve pressure in sensitive areas
3D AIR mesh wicks away moisture and distributes it throughout the woven surface, increasing overall comfort and allowing the hipbelts and shoulder harnesses to dry quickly during a well-earned trail break
Wishbone frame: A high-strength tubular aluminum frame defines the perimeter of the back panel, channeling the weight of the pack to the center of your lower back and around your hip structure
Design allows your upper body and hips to flex naturally while minimizing side-to-side sway as you hike, saving energy and keeping you more comfortable over longer distances
The frame also features anti-barreling support to prevent the pack from losing its shape and keeps the load close to your center of gravity
Matrix ventilated backpanel: Ventilated structural foam wrapped in breathable mesh provides enhanced moisture management in a low-profile backpanel design
It offers excellent airflow while keeping the pack very close to your back for crucial energy savings while carrying heavier loads
Comfortgrip: A soft-molded contoured pad ensures the weight of the pack transfers comfortably to your lower back and hips
Silicone grip overlays prevent the pad from slipping, keeping the hipbelt in position on your body's main load-bearing structure
Full body U-Zip main opening on front of bag for easy unloading when you get to camp

Great Backpacking PackI have used this pack a handful of times, and I am always impressed with how much it can hold, and how comfortable it is to carry even when bursting at the seams. Easy access to your stuff is key in a pack this size, and Gregory made sure that the main compartment was easy to access from multiple points. The shoulder straps are comfortable on long days and the hip strap is very supportive and doesn't dig in. Outside storage pockets are easily accessible for things like maps, snacks and your phone/camera.

Favorite backpack in the family! This pack has every little feature/pocket that you need while backpacking. I was a little unsure of the price and whether or not it would be worth it at first. However, my fiancé bought the off brand equivalent to this pack at the same time and we tried them out together. The Gregory DEVA surpassed her choice by far. She ended up returning hers and buying a Gregory DEVA for herself. My favorite features are the shoulder straps, lumbar support, water bottle pocket, and the bungee trap on the shoulder strap. But there are many more wonderful features. I went on to buy my younger sister and niece Gregory wander packs for their birthdays as well and they both love them.

Quality is excellent but the fit was not right for meI planned to use this on a weekend backpacking trip. I had it filled with my gear plus 2L water bladder. My total weight was 25 lbs. It was so uncomfortable. It kept sliding down my back. I used the size chart to insure I purchase the proper size. I'm 5'3" 125-size XS. I also went to a local sporting goods store to get my measurements for a pack. I adjusted and readjusted the shoulder straps and hip belt several times. The worst part was it would slide down my lower back almost under my tailbone. It would push my pants down so it looked like I was sagging my pants:(. I tried different shorts with it and it would do the same thing. I was lucky we had a very cheap pack I was able to use in its place. It was not the right fit for me. That being said the pack is extremely well made with a ton of pockets to put gear. I loved all the separate places for storage. I had a lot of room for more gear if needed. I wish it would have worked fit wise. I think if it fits you, you will love it.

More than 6000 miles on my DevaI have a disclaimer. I am not an ultralight backpacker. I like my bells and whistles. Which is why I am in love with the Deva 60L pack. I've put 6,000+ miles on 2 different versions (2011 and 2014) of the Deva packs during various multi-day trips, as well as 2 thru hikes. Comfort and pockets have always been the winning features for me. On the 2014 updated version, I fell in love with the waterproof hip belt pocket, as my thru hike in New Zealand was VERY RAINY. I love that the rain cover comes included for the updated pack. I also love the sidekick bag. For a thru hiker who sometimes has town errands, it is a nice bonus to have a smaller pack to take around. In terms of comfort, I've always felt like Gregory packs do not skimp on cushioning and fit, maybe to a fault since the Deva is heavier than competitor packs. I try out other packs to broaden my horizons, but I'll be surprised if my Deva doesn't go with me on my next thru hike.

Love this Backpack!I am really happy with this backpack! I ordered a different brand prior and sent it back due to sizing issues. So I was a bit leery when Gregory's size chart showed I would be a size small (I'm 5'8".) To my surprise, the pack fits perfect! I love the side kick bag as I was in need of a hydration backpack anyways. I bought the Gregory compatible 3L hydration pack to go with it. The color is more muted than the website images, which I am really happy about. The bag is perfect for weekends or even weeklong treks. All of the compartments are better than I could have imagined. A huge plus is the new version of the Deva fits an iPhoneX in the waterproof hip pocket. Stoked with this purchase. #sweepstakes

Chrissy goes hiking in New Zealand from
Extremely comfortable, well balanced packI use this for multi day hiking the Colorado Trail and in the New Zealand bush, Whirinaki Forest. Carries my load well, comfortable, good pockets, the fabric does not tear when bushwhacking through deep forest. While not an ultralight minimalist pack, I find it is more comfortable on my back and shoulders. I love it.

All-around awesome packThis pack checks all my boxes! It's comfortable, but not overly padded/too heavy. I doesn't give me shoulder bruises like my other pack did, but does a great job of putting the weight on my hips. *I'm 5'9" with a pretty long torso, and the M fits me perfectly.
I'm not exactly a minimalist, but I can fit plenty of gear for a multi-day trip in this pack! I really like the external access to the separated sleeping bag pouch. I love the front pocket and access. I like that the lid is removable, but I also love that the bladder pouch doubles as an ultralight daypack for days when you're not moving camp. My only complaint is that the hip pockets don't fit my phone or inReach.

Gregory Women's Packs
Gregory backpacking packs are available in a size range. Please check the PRODUCT FEATURES and / or SPECIFICATIONS for the torso range measurements of each size of a pack. The steps below are a guide for measuring your torso size.
The hipbelts on Gregory backpacking packs are adjustable to fit a range of sizes. A simple rule of thumb is that the ideal distance between the ends of the hipbelt pads after tightening should be 3 to 5 inches. However, the most important criteria are that the hipbelt wraps clear over the side of your body and that it rests 1 inch above your iliac crest. This allows proper load transfer to your skeletal structure, which maximizes comfort and minimizes energy expenditure.
HOW to MEASURE TORSO SIZE 1. Put your chin to your chest and feel for the big bone protruding on your neck at the top of your spine. That's the C7 vertebra.
2. Feel your hip bone, the top part of this is your iliac crest. Find the spot on your back that is level with the top of this crest.
3. Have someone measure the distance between these two points, following the contours of your spine.
