DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from light, warm bought this november2013 before the winter started in the northeastern. it packs really small - about the size of 3 fists stacked together. so i think it's really good for travelling. i'm 176cm (5.77ft), 68kg (150lb), and i got the black colour with size S. it feels warm even in temperatures of -10°C (14 °F). i wore this over my work clothes, and under my marmot fleece and marmot windstopper (both size S). i love the hoodie because it keeps my ears nice and warm. my only gripe is that feathers do come out once in a while (like most down jackets do). also, not to sound derogatory, but i was kinda surprised that this arcteryx down was made in china. well, most things are now these days anyway. i have no complains since the construction is great and fits really well. though i think i could have find a cheaper alternative.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great quality and warmth, ALMOST a perfect fit I'm 5'8", 160 lbs. The True Fit guide on Arcteryx's website said size medium would be an 'excellent fit' so I ordered that. The jacket fits very well through the chest, torso, and waist, but the sleeves feel a little more snug than I would prefer. The fit is definitely designed for someone with an athletic build, but not particularly muscular. I tried on a large and it was way too big everywhere. ,,,,As far as warmth, I was very comfortable wearing just a t shirt under the jacket in 25F weather. The zipper seems a bit delicate, but other than that the jacket seems durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Athletic cut for perfect fit and exceptional features I had high expectations for this hoody, and it delivered more than expected. The hood fits and functions perfectly, with a fit that can be dialed via the draw cord. The hoody functions perfectly as an outer layer in moderate conditions or as a mid-layer in colder conditions. Where this hoody really shines is the fit though--- Arcteryx may cost, but you are paying for a perfectly cut garment. I'm 5'8" and 150 lbs. Ordered a small which fits like a glove. I can layer underneath the hoody and still have full-range of motion, or I can wear a minimal layer underneath and still count on a perfect fit. Perfect technical piece and very well suited to mountaineering and climbing. Highly satisfied !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, warm, and great looking! I bought this jacket to refresh my down options, and boy am I glad that I did! It's light as a feather, offers great warmth, and fits perfect. I'm 6'4" 220 pounds and the XL fits fantastic. The jacket also looks stunning. I definitely won't mind wearing it out and about. It's hard to believe that it's filled with 850 goose down because it is so thin. I also own a North Face Nuptse down jacket, and it's so puffy I look like the Michelin Man. The Cerium LT though, PERFECT! I think I am going to thoroughly enjoy having this jacket in my arsenal. Great job Arc'teryx!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cerium LT Took it on a hike which gained 1500 feet in elevation and ranged from 30 degrees to 45 degrees in temperature and I was perfectly comfortable the entire hike, as well as sitting at the chilly peak, with just the Cerium and a base layer. Spectacular mid layer, extremely lightweight. Somewhat delicate - avoid sharp branches or wear a softshell with it. Very easy to layer over and under. I am 5'8" and 155 lbs and the small was a good athletic fit, though I could have appreciated an extra inch or two of length.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's hot in the kitchen First thing I noticed when I received this jacket was that it was incredibly light weight and I thought there would be no way this would keep me warm (although I'm the type to wear a t-shirt in the winter).,,,,The fit is incredible! And despite my assumption you can feel yourself heat up within a few seconds. However, I never got too hot - the Cerium LT breaths really well.,,,,The hood fits perfect and is not as bulky as other down jackets. ,,,,I ordered the medium and I am returning it for a large. I am 5'10" 175lbs. The medium fit comfortable but I want to be able to wear a baselayer and the witness hoody underneath with the Beta FL for Alpine climbing.,,,,This jacket is worth every penny. Stop thinking about it and do yourself a favor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More Arc' Amazingness This jacket is absolutely rad. I own one (I own like all the Arc' possible) and my boyfriend has been super jealous since I got it. He got it as an early holiday present and has been so stoked he hasn't taken it off since (well, maybe to shower and such). We spend all of our time in the Sierra - hiking, backpacking, skiing, etc. - so this jacket is the perfect thing to keep us toasty warm when the temps start to dip. If you're looking for a lightweight, super warm down jacket, the Arc' Cerium LT is definitely the way to go! Get one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great fit, stylish, very warm Bought this jacket after trying on my buddy's jacket a few weeks back. I really like the fit (XL). I like the length of the jacket, covers my rear well. I have had a couple people ask where they could get a similar coat, so i guess it looks great on me. Bought the jacket for down hill skiing and wearing around town. This jacket proved to excel at both of those! Would buy again. Looking at Arcteryx gloves as a next purchase from Moosejaw. This was my first ever Arcteryx purchase, very happy that I bought this jacket.

Arc'teryx Warranty and Repair

Arc'teryx guarantees the quality and performance of all of their products. Items with defects in materials or workmanship will be replaced or repaired at the discretion of Arc'teryx for the practical lifetime of the product. Items that are damaged through wear and tear, misuse, or neglect may be repaired at a small charge.

How do I send back an item for Warranty, or get an item repaired by Arc'teryx?
For Customers in North America and Europe, Arc'teryx recommends that the product be returned to the store or site where it was originally purchased.

If this is not possible, fill out their online warranty form which can be found HERE. They will email you with full instructions on how to send your product to their Warranty and Repair Center. Do not send your item to them without first obtaining an RA number from Arc'teryx.

Arc'teryx is not responsible for items that are lost or damaged during shipping and cannot replace parcels that are lost during return shipment if proof of tracking is not available. Please use a guaranteed delivery service that provides tracking information, insurance, and proof of delivery when sending an item back to Arc'teryx.

For customs purposes, Arc'teryx requires you to provide them with a PHYSICAL address, however, your warranty/repair item can still be shipped to a PO Box.

How do I contact them with questions?
Complete their Warranty or Repair Request Form. If you have any questions or concerns, you can reach their Customer Service department at 1-866-458-2473.

What is and isn't covered under the Warranty Policy?
Defects in materials or workmanship are covered for the practical lifetime of the product. Material refers to zippers, buckles and fabrics. Workmanship refers to seams, seam tape and construction. Damage due to wear and tears such as rips, tears, abrasion or UV degradation, misuse or neglect is not covered under Arc'teryx's warranty policy but may be repairable for a fee.

What is covered under the Warranty Policy on Arc'teryx footwear?
Defects in material and workmanship will be covered by Arc'teryx for the practical lifetime of the product. The practical lifetime for footwear can vary drastically depending on the frequency and type of usage. Things such as the wearing of the outsole, frayed laces, nicks and tears can indicate that a shoe has surpassed its practical lifetime. These are examples of wear and tear or damage which are not covered by Arc'teryx. If you believe there is a defect in material or workmanship present on your product, please see follow the instructions on how to send it to Arc'teryx for assessment.

What does 'practical Lifetime of the product' mean?
Although Arc'teryx builds their products to last over extended periods of time, nothing lasts indefinitely. Materials will deteriorate and fade over time and moving parts will wear out. Arc'teryx will cover your product under their warranty policy until such a time that they have deemed the product to be worn out beyond reasonable repair. If the product is showing the signs of its age-for instance, the material has become thin or faded, there are rips and tears, the zippers no longer catch, the cuffs are fraying, or the soles are worn-they will take this into consideration when assessing your product for a warranty request. All gear will suffer from differing degrees of wear-and-tear, depending upon the user. Equipment used by an outdoor guide for 150 days a year will by comparison, degrade faster than gear used by a weekend skier. By taking care of your equipment you will ensure a longer lifetime for your gear. Arc'teryx recommends that you visit their Product Care page for more information on how to wash and care for your equipment.

Will Arc'teryx repair or replace my product?
If your Arc'teryx product fails due to a manufacturing defect, where possible, Arc'teryx will repair the item at no charge to you. They have repair centers in both Europe and North America that employ the same custom machinery and techniques that they use to create the original products. If the product is not repairable, or the cost of the repairs exceeds the value of the product, Arc'teryx may, at their discretion, choose to replace the product instead.

What happens if I rip or tear my jacket or pants?
Skis, snowboards, crampons, axes and other sharp equipment will damage clothing and gloves if they come into direct contact with them. Rips, tears, burns and punctures can occur during normal use and while carrying your equipment, and are not covered under the terms of the warranty. To assist you in keeping your product in optimal working condition, Arc'teryx offers a variety of repairs for a reasonable charge. Contact them and they will be happy to discuss your options.

What if I want to have my garment altered or tailored?
Arc'teryx does not offer custom alterations or modifications to their packs or garments at this time. For products made from GORE-TEX® fabrics they suggest using a GORE-TEX® authorized repair facility for alterations. There is a list of GORE-TEX® authorized repair shops in your area on the GORE-TEX® website.

Do alterations void my warranty?
Arc'teryx understands that individuals may, on occasion, wish to tailor their Arc'teryx products to suit their needs. If something should fail which is unrelated to any alterations, Arc'teryx will stand behind their products, provided that the Arc'teryx product is being used as intended. For a list of alteration facilities in your area, please visit the GORE-TEX® website.

How long will it take if I send my product in for warranty assessment and/or repair?
The typical turn-around time is 15 to 20 business days from the time they receive your product to the time they ship it back to you. Keep in mind that winter is the busiest season for warranty and repair service. Arc'teryx will provide you with updates and more accurate estimates throughout the process.

How do I prepare my item for return to Arc'teryx?
In order to comply with health and safety regulations, as well as for the protection of their staff, Arc'teryx kindly asks that all products be cleaned before being sent to them. Products that arrive unwashed may be subject to a cleaning fee before assessments can be made. To find out how to properly clean your garment, please visit the Arc'teryx Product Care page.

How are shipping costs handled?
Customers are responsible for shipping items to Arc'teryx, and Arc'teryx will cover the return shipping costs. Please ensure that you ship the product using a carrier that can provide you with tracking information and proof of delivery. Customers are responsible for their product until Arc'teryx has signed for its delivery.

What do repairs cost?
Repairs covered under the terms and conditions of the Arc'teryx warranty policy are performed at their expense. Costs for non-warranty repairs will vary depending upon the situation. Arc'teryx will provide you with as many repair options as possible based upon the amount of work and materials required and the expected end result. After your product has been received and assessed, Arc'teryx will be able to contact you with repair options and costs. Repairs requiring payment will never be performed without your authorization.

What is the Voltair Avalanche Airbag Limited Warranty?
