Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome jacket. Runs SO big! I'll start by saying this jackets so very hard to find online and even in NYC for less than $500 retail. I caught the sale in Nov and thought I was sizing down by buying a small. I'm 5'8 muscular build and usually wear small to medium in North Face jackets. This jacket was enormous, like laughablely enormous on me. I held on to it until January waiting for an XS to get back in stock. Moosejaw honored the sale price (2 months later!) and sent me the new jacket. Th XS fits great and im much happier about the purchase. please BEWARE that these runs at least 1 size larger than American standards!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So good! I just spent 10 days at Sunday River, ME working 14 hour days outside in the elements and this coat killed it!! I'm so happy with this brand! I'm 6'5" 250lbs (no gut)...the XXL fit perfect in every way. It only went below 0 a few hours but was below freezing the entire time and I never got cold in this coat. A little more on the fit; being 6'5" I have long arms. It seems to me that a lot of companies build their XXL for guys that are big around the middle. Fjallraven fits like it's made for fit people...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great jacket - much warmer than i expected This jacket is heavy duty and the fabric is dense and stops wind in it's tracks. it's wind resistance is really impressive. The jacket has been warm this past Boston winter, which was admittedly mild, but I usually wore this with a tshirt or standard button up shirt underneath, in temperatures down to the 10-15 degrees F, without any problem. It's a bit bulkier than the Fjallraven Barents parka, which is a bit more slim cut. I kind of liked the Barents cut better but it wasn't quite as warm as the Yupik in the end. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would buy 10 out of 10 times I have other Fjallraven gear, and it typically doesn't fit me well as a tall, not thin guy. The Yupik, however fits PERFECTLY. It's the perfect level of snugness around the core to keep warm but allow layering. The length sits well below the waist and doesn't ride up when I lift my arms. The arms are a bit long, but with the adjustable velcro cuffs, I can't even tell. The hood is large, so best suited for a hat underneath.,,,,The quality is amazing. This thing is impenetrable by wind. The outer shell is well waterproofed and the inner lining is a nylon material, which I like more than a fleece - less static when taking it on or off. The hood is fleece lined and lets NO wind in.,,,,The hood is removable, as is the fur hood lining. The pockets are many and massive. The front hand warmer pockets are fleece lined, and the inside bellow pockets are large enough to carry books around in - not a joke, I do this. ,,,,There are so many awesome details to this jacket, just buy it and find out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best coat I've owned This will be my second winter in this coat and I love it. Very high quality. Very warm, nothing gets through. The hood is large but adjustable so doesn't pose any problem. I removed the fur which is easy to do. I'm 6 foot two and always buy large which I did with this and it fits perfectly. Great pockets with super soft and warm fleece.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and Cozy This Parka is absolutely amazing. Not only is it warm, it's functional and not too oversized if you don't zip the zipper and just button the buttons. I haven't felt a lick of wind using this in Chicago where it's currently -4 degrees farenheight (and windy). I doubt I'll ever own another coat again after buying this one. I was a little trepidatious due to the price, but spread over the what I predict to be a long life of the jacket, it's not so bad for the quality you receive. Rated 5 out of 5 by from I experienced two winters in Boston using a Northface snowboarding type jacket. I bought the Northface as a senior in highschool to prepare for Northeast winters, mostly because north face was a popular brand at my highschool. Going into my third winter, I decided i wanted something more stylish, something longer and something that i confidently could throw on over a t-shirt in any winter weather. The Yupik has treated me very well. It's plain to feel that the level of cold protection is in a different league after walking across campus in a snowstorm with sideways wind and snow. Completely snow and waterproof in my experience with the jacket. I often receive compliments on the jacket's styling which is a plus. I personally don't run warm so i never need to layer this jacket, but rest assured that even if you are someone that naturally runs colder, in conjunction with a fleece the Yupik will keep you warm even remaining idle (watching a sports game outside) in inclement weather. My only gripes are that the faux fur looks nice and I appreciate the conservation efforts, but if animal cruelty is realistically of no concern to you, real fur simply has better properties. Additionally, the coat doesn't breath particularly well so sometimes i find that I'm too cold when i leave the jacket open and too warm when i zip it up; this is definitely not a technical jacket for snowboarding and such, unless performing under truly brutal weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This parka is a quality product. When you put it on, you know that you are protected from the elements. It has been designed with good attention to needs. I am 6' 2" and 220 pounds. The XL fits perfectly. Good sleeve length and brilliant body length. Sure it's not light, but if you want light, go out wearing a puffer jacket or a negligee.
