While to break in but awesome once they do
Bought a pair to replace my old Gooped and re-stitched Tevas for a trip down to Maine. Used my Five Tennies in the water and these on land and left the other shoes and boots in the bag. Worked fine once they stretched to my foot for a rock shoe like fit. With awareness great for everything but wet water scrambling; including hiking trails where I watched others plod through the heat in boots. Off trail just watch for twigs etc. same as with any open shoe. Got a lot of grief wearing them when I got home and the temperatures cooled but I loved them that much

Good, but not great
Bought this sandal about two months ago. They are very good urban sandal but leave much to be desired once you venture off the pavement. Due to the design, debris can easily get in. Unlike traditional sandals you can't just slip them off to clean out the debris. Also, the stitching that is used to attach the tongue was not cleanly trimmed on the inside. This rubs against my toes causing cuts and abrasions. I've gone to wearing a band aid on the one toe most affected by the stitching. Due to the design it is nearly impossible to trim the annoying stitching.
Other than the limitations mentioned this is nice summer footwear. I've received many compliments, it fits fairly true to size, is comfortable on the soles of my feet, and keeps my feet cool.
