DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super breathable I have had the jacket for two weeks now. It's warm enough to feel comfortable in most conditions. I say comfortable instead of warm because this thing breaths so well that I never get overheated. It's a pretty amazing jacket. I had the Atom LT before, and although that could breath through the side fleece, I always got too warm to keep the jacket zipped up, and definitely would sweat in the arms. This jacket is just a step below a fleece in terms of permeability, but is just as comfortable. I haven't had it long enough to test in any demanding situations. But walking around Tahoe in teens weather, it was still getting the job done.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable and Temperate I have been wearing the Nano Air for about a month, and have used it in a variety of climates and activities. Overall the jacket always seems to keep me at the RIGHT temperature, and I've worn it from -6F to 50F, it blocks most of the wind and it very soft and comfortable. The one fault I have about it is that I question the durability of the outer material as in the first month it has already gotten a few frays in it and I am have not had any heavy use on the coat. Would still get again, but just be aware if you're planning on using the jacket in an environment with abrasive surfaces.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it, but... I really love this jacket. The Nano Air really holds a temp that is just right for activity in the cold. However, the lightweight, breathable outer fabric comes at a cost. This jacket started pilling almost immediately. I sent it back to Patagonia because it looked as if the fabric might wear all the way through in little time. I have a very light weight, breathable Outdoor Research sofshell that did the same thing, and despite the pilling, it is holding up fine. My guess is this jacket will do the same, but I wanted to give some time for more reviews to pop up and make sure before dropping the scratch for this one. ,,,,Bottom line, I think this jacket will hold up with a worn look from field use. Do NOT bushwhack in this jacket unless you want to repair many holes. Also, if you are using this jacket for around town, you may want to reconsider. It is very good looking, but the pilling may spoil your swag.,,,,Size: I am 6', 180 lbs, and a medium was perfect with plenty of room for layering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The hype is true The warmth this jacket generates as soon as you put it on is amazing. Because it's so light and so flexible, you want to wear it all the time.,,With a merino base layer and the Nano Air, it's warm to 0 Celsius with no wind. It does have a level of wind resistance that a shell is only needed over 20kph. This is a perfect match with a Patagonia R1 base for high energy hiking in cold conditions.,,I have a fairly light frame - 183cm tall and 69kg - and the small is perfect. Fitted, but with plenty of length in the arms and torso.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of a kind jacket First and foremost, I will admit that I am not as intense of an adventurer as some of you are. I am the recreational hiker/enjoy the weather as much as I can type of guy. This coat is extremely comfortable and light, yet, still keeps protects you from moderate wind. This jacket is well worth the money, so If you want a casual windbreaker for fair weather this is your ticket. ,,,,P.S. once again, it is beyond soft on the inside. Its like being wrapped in the the pouch of a mother kangaroo

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nano Air jacket I'm loving the Nano Air so far. All the promise is proving out to be true. It fits well, feels great, and looks sharp. I haven't worked out in it yet, nor have I tested it with wind and rain (neither of which its supposed to stand up well to), so can't attest to those characteristics. It layers really well with a couple different coats, and I think it'll do for the winter. It seems to moderate temperature really well, although I'm mildly concerned that it won't be enough of a mid-layer for the coldest conditions. I would also state one other complaint. This sounds minor, but it matters. The zipper tabs (the little bit of plastic attached to the zippers for better/glove handed grip) are really lame. Flimsy, poorly shaped pieces of plastic. Poor attention to detail. Minor, but it would've been an easy fix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Great fitting, very versatile athletic jacket. Amazing for any outdoor activities in cool/cold weather conditions. Good amount of stretch and breathability works very well with you to keep you very comfortable with any outdoor activity. Its been very cold here in Colorado and I wanted something to wear to go running. I found my self supremely comfortable not getting cold and all and not sweating either. Was very surprised by this jacket.
