DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I bought these pants for hiking but now I'm going to replace my everyday jeans with them. I'm 6'3 200lbs and I got a 36x32. The length is perfect but the waist is a little snug but I need to drop about 5lbs and hope the pants don't shrink. ,,,,They don't make a lot of noise when you walk which was a concern. They look really stylish and not at all like a windbreaker pants which was another concern of mine. They have stylish seems on the side and a handy right side zipped pocket. For being so lightweight they were surprisingly warm and not swooshing around loudly in the wind. My only complaint is that I wish the back pockets had flaps or zippers and they are so lightweight that I feel that anything I put in the pockets is going to rip right out but I'm guessing that feeling will go away as I get used to wearing them more often.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fit and look I saw these in a local retail store, tried them on and fell in love. Ordered them here, as the store did not stock my size (36x34). These are very light and slightly stretchy and perfect for warm weather. I love the pocket, which my cell phone (Iphone 6) fits in perfectly and love that they have slim legs. They are not skinny jeans fit by any means, but far from the large legs openings of most other brands! Highly recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit, great endurance, and water resistant. I'm a swim coach, so these pants are awesome on deck. They help block the inevitable splashes, which just roll off, and they add extra warmth on cold evenings (cold for SoCal that is), and are breathable enough to be a good sunblock without overheating. I also wore these on a Half Dome hike, beginning of October - perfect mix of breathability for getting hot and staying warm on the windy colder parts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great form and fit I'm 6'2", 190 pounds and ordered the 34 regular pants in ash tan. The fit is nearly perfect for me. The pants fit right on/just below the hips and the cuffs hit the top of my feet without too much extra material, but don't look like flood pants either. The material is soft to the touch, has a lot of flexibility, and breathes well. I gave them a shot here in Iowa during a 45 degree, windy January day and they were on the cool side with moderate trail walking in the woods. The material did hold up to abrasion against shrubs and woody understory. These pants will be great in warmer weather. Durability-wise, the material is lighter than my older Patagonia Tribune pants, but are almost equal in stretch. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from worth the price I picked up these pants on an impulse when I was in the store looking for something else. I'm glad I did because I can't stop wearing them now. Soooo comfortable and a really nice fit. They look good enough to wear to work and then when I get home I don't have to change into something else. The zippered pocket is perfect for keeping stuff secure when I'm out running around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightweight pants, on the slim side I've worn these pants on a couple of hikes since buying them a couple weeks ago. They're excellent. Ligweight, tough, and breatheable. They shed rain. For the cold weather hike, I layered silk long underwear under them, and they were fine. They are on the slim side. I am 5' 11" and 143 lbs, thin to begin with, and got a medium. For me they're comfortable, but if you're much heavier, you might want a a large. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Look and feel great, shed rain These pants are amazing. I have two pair in different colors. The look good enough to wear to the office, which makes them my main pants for rainy season, since the DWR sheds most rain and they dry super fast if they do get wet. Aside from the great look, fit and performance, on the inside, these are the best feeling soft shell pants I've had. Not at all clingy or nylony feeling.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fit I bought this to replace a 2 year old pair of Rock Craft pants. These are cut much better for me - 6'3" 175lbs. Beware - if you have a stocky build these pants will fit you like skinny jeans. The gray color is very much a gray, not a hybrid gray/black. I've had Quandary shorts so I know the material is durable. Only 4 stars because of the MSRP.
