Rated 5 out of 5 by from A epic add on 6,1 175 lbs athletic build, I went for a large rather than a medium and i was so happy, the arms where the right length,,, a bit baggy till i washed it , it slimed up a bit, for a great fit... I wear it between my base layer and mid layer for extra warmth, mobility is still there. Definitely glove friendly, A good add on for hiking, climbing, rodeo clowning, in your sleeping bag or in bed with the ladys.. All and all its worth it,, unless your overly meticulous, butt retentive, or don't want me dating your mom,,,and than still buy it... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket It is true that this jacket is a masterpiece. I was amazed by this R2 jacket. It is warn, lightweight, highly breathable. As the fleece is made with Polartec Thermal Pro fabric, the jacket is very soft and comfortable. Also, R2 is a high loft fleece, which has a very high compressibility. It would not use too much space when you put it in your pack. On the whole, R2 is a great jacket, you can wear it when you really want to keep yourself warm in different conditions and it can still perform really well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GIFT! I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. He has been asking for something similar for a while, and this was the perfect item for what he needed. He often hikes/climbs mountains across the US and having a warm light layer was important to him. The quality is great and he was really thrilled!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Midlayer so far I have used this jacket all the time!!! It is extremely breathable, lightweight, fairly compresible.,,The new R1 panels are a very good improvement over the last model (I have both).,,The length is slightly longer. Excellent news for me, 6.4 tall, 220 pounds.,,Obviously if you don´t move in windy situation, you will need to use a windproof shell...,,FAirly durable materials, even against rock ,,Overall this is a jacket that will go with you when climbing/ice climbing, traveling and even around town.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Designed With the Climber & Backpacker in Mind!!! I absolute love this fleece! I almost don't know where to begin. First and foremost the fit is definitely an athletic fit, which is conducive to layering as a mid layer and makes for a very ascetically pleasing outer layers on athletic bodies, which I like. I'm 6'5 and about 230lbs and the Large is perfect for me. The fit is amazing in the midsection but a bit snug in the shoulders and arms, which isn't necessarily the jackets fault though because I do have exceptionally broad shoulders and big arms. The features on this jacket are amazingly thoughtful, the R1 fabric is thin but still warm and very breathable in all the right places and is placed perfectly so that it fits under my climbing harness and hip belt with no added bulk, and the pockets are easily accessible while strapped up. The R2 fabric is amazingly warm for the weight but still breaths well. Long sleeves, long hem and arm gussets fit my apishly long arms and torso perfectly and are arguably my favorite feature, the only thing that might top it is the collar. The collar is the perfect height and size to be worn comfortably with the zipper all the way up and the kissing welt zipper garage on in just feels cozy and inviting but most importantly IT DOES NOT CATCH BEARD HAIR!!! Overall this jacket is my new favorite fleece and will be my go to, cold weather active jacket, climbing and hiking fleece, below zero mid layer, and all around good looking town fleece for years to come.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great jacket! Was debating on a good medium weight, under-shell fleece to buy. Did a lot of research and finally settled on the R2. Haven't had many opportunities to wear it yet, but so far I have no's great jacket. Very warm with good features. I am 6'-3" tall, 170 lbs. and the large is perfect. My only beef is the neck is not very snug when fully zipped; in fact it hangs very loosely. Thus the 4 stars instead of 5.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Comfortable The fabric on this fleece is extremely soft, which is great. The fit is a little bit snug in the chest, but in general this is a great light jacket. It's not particularly warm (it's great when it's in the 50s, but you will be cold if it's in the 40s). Overall, it's a good light jacket if you're looking for something comfortable.
