Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable. Frequent use. This fleece works great for keeping warm at work or around the house. It does zip into NF coats that are designed for liners which is the reason I bought this particular one. It doesn't have the loop behind the collar that is usually used to secure this fleece to your NF coat shell. The sleeves have their buttons though to snap to the shell. Also, for whatever reason this fleece zipper length is longer than my coat shell zipper length so they don't meet up at the end as anticipated. Aside for all that, I'm still happy to have bought this fleece, I use it a lot just on its own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for the money It's a fleece, so all the standard pros and cons apply. The wind is going to cut through it and it's going to take up a ton of space in your pack, but it's warm, comfortable, durable, and dries quickly. I mostly hike, so bought this fleece in conjunction with the Allabout rain jacket. Between the two, I can stay comfortable in any weather I'm going to find in New England. I recently got back from the White Mountains, and I loved this fleece by itself around camp, and with my wind/rain layer on the summit. For the price, I can't think of a better product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Alright fleece...... I love the North Face and have been a loyal customer for a long time. I ordered this jacket because I love the way my old Khumbu jacket felt and fit, So I figured this would be the same. I am a little disappointed in the quality and build of this one. It feels cheap and fits a little tight for comfort. I am going to keep it because sending it back would take forever and is not worth the hassle. I am working on losing a little more weight so it will be fine. I am 5'7 and weight 217 and I got the Large. I probably should have gotten the XL but then it would have been too big. I lift weights so my back and shoulders are broad and I am sure that is why it feels tight.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from retired Khumbu fro new Khumbu 2 I wear the prior model Khumbu jackets pretty much everyday and they have served me well. So I decided to retire an older Khumbu for a new Khumbu 2 jacket recently. Same fitment of small works best for me since I want a tighter fit for using under TNF outer shells. Everything is as expected except two things. 1)The TNF black is not black like used on the prior Khumbu. The Khumbu 2 is a really dark gray that I can probably adjust to. It does look nice but I was hoping for a true black. 2)The inside pockets that I use all of the time are GONE. I am pretty irritated at this loss of function. Almost enough to return it and look for another option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Son Acting like a little kid It was suggested by our daughter-in-law that we should get our son a new jacket for his birthday. We had heard of TheNorthFace but had never purchased anythig from them. We went to the website and saw some of the nice jackets, tons of them. What to do? We asked her if he would like a "northface", she said he would love one. We saw the Khumbu 2 in cosmic blue while online. It looked lightweight and stylish so we hit the button and ordered one for our son. We shipped it to his house a week before his birthday. He got the package and saw TheNorthFace on the shipping label. He tore the package open,(before his birthday), and has worn it everyday since, just like a little kid. He called us "Mom n' Dad this is the best gift in years! Thanks, I love it.". It was "Just Right" Thanks "NorthFace"

Zip-incompatible?? This item's "Product Descriptio" states that it is "zip-incompatible" with complementing garments from TNF. Don't you mean to say that this fleece is "zip-compatible", which it is? Thanks in advance for correcting!

Asked by: Yousaywhat
Hey There, Thanks for pointing that out! There should be a space there. It should read Zip-In Comparable. This jacket IS compatible for zipping in to complimenting jackets.
